Surprise (Bughead)

Every Friday Betty and Jughead would go on a date. Jughead wanted to do something different, they always went to pops and then back to Betty's house, it was the same old thing every date night.

"Are we still on for tonight?" Betty asked Jug whilst they walked down the school corridor.

"Yep, but I'm changing it up, how about I pick you up at 7? And pack some clothes and a toothbrush." Jughead asked.

"Well How romantic... where's my boyfriend gone?" Betty joked.

"I'm being serious, I think pops is getting a lil repetitive." Jughead said.

"Okay okay, I'm trusting you to make this date night amazing then. See you at 7." Betty said leaving Jughead for Biology class.

7pm
Jughead revved his bike so Betty knew he was outside. She came out wearing her typical outfit and her perfect blonde hair in a ponytail. She climbed on his bike and held onto him and they drove off.

"Okay so close your eyes." Jughead said. He placed his hands over Betty's eyes. He guided her over to his plan of date night.

"Surprise!" Jughead said has he took his hands off Betty's face. Infront of her stood a cottage.

"Shut up! Is that for us?!" Betty asked.

"Of course." Jughead said.

"Oh my god Jug! How?"

"My dad knows a couple of people..." Jughead said.

"Oh Jug! This is so sweet!"

"And we have it all weekend." He announced. "Oh and I've booked us in for movie night in the drive-in, which is only a 10 minute drive from here." He added.

"This is too sweet Jug." Betty said has she kissed Jughead on the cheek.

The next day...
Betty had woken up early to make breakfast in bed for Jug. She made waffles with strawberries and melted chocolate on top.

"Here you go." Betty said walking into the room.

"Thank you Betty." Jughead said.

"Oh by the way, we need some more snacks for tonight." Betty said.

"Okay, no problem, I'll go and get some from the shop up the road." Jughead offered.

Whilst Jughead was out, Betty decided to get ready for the drive-in. She got out of the shower when she heard the front door slam.

"Jug? Is that you?" Betty called. There was no answer. She locked the bathroom door and waited in the hope it was Jughead. A minute went by which seemed like a day for Betty. She decided to brave it and see who it was. She unlocked the door and walked out slowly. She could hear someone rumble through draws in the kitchen. She grabbed the baseball bat, that Jug had brought,on the stairs. She walked further and all of a sudden someone grabbed her from behind. She screamed as she was dragged from the bathroom to the lounge area. She looked behind her and saw a group of men along with a bruised Jughead kneeling down. She copied.

"What do you want?" Betty cried to the intruders.

"Are you Veronica lodge?" One of the men asked.

"What? No? I'm Betty Cooper." Betty said confused.

"Oh shit." Jughead said.

"So why are you two in the Lodges holiday Home?"

"Jug? What's he talking about?" Betty asked. He ignored the question. "Jug! Answer me!" Betty yelled.

"Look, I couldn't afford a actual weekend away, so Veronica lent us the use of this cottage for the weekend." Jughead explained.

"I thought it was your dads friends'?" Betty questioned.

"Enough chit chat...Lets just say, the Lodges are in deep trouble and if you two don't tell us where they are... consider yourselves as bait."

"I'm sorry I don't know, I haven't seen Veronica all week." Betty cried.

"Wrong answer." He said has he raised his gun towards Jughead.

"No! Please don't, you don't have to do this!" Betty screamed.

All of a sudden the front door burst open. "Archie?! Sheriff Keller?!" Betty yelled.

"Put the gun down now! Now!" Keller yelled to the intruders. The intruder put the gun on the floor. Keller kicked it across the room whilst putting the intruders in handcuffs.

After a while, Veronica and her father showed up. Betty by now had put proper clothes on and joined Jughead and Archie in the kitchen where the questioning was taking place.

"How'd you know Arch that we were in trouble." Betty asked.

"Jughead called me, but left it on speaker. So I heard every second, from the start of the kidnapping."

"Wait kidnapping?" Betty questioned.

"Yeah, they managed to get to me before you, I was in the shop when they attacked."

"Well thank god you guys are okay." Veronica said. "I'm so sorry, this is all my fault. My family." A guilt ridden Ronnie said.

"Don't beat yourself up Ronnie. As long as Betty and Jug are safe and okay, then there's Nothing bad that's going to happen, or come between us four again." Archie explained.
