Protective- Part 2 (Varchie)

Archie's house...
Archie walked upstairs with Veronica. She was in tears, her make up was smudging but she didn't care. She just needed to be in a safe place.

"Here, sit by there."Archie said moving all his dirty clothes of his bed. Veronica had never been in Archie house let alone his room.

"Thank you Archie." Veronica snuffled.

"This might be painful but you'll be better in the morning." He said has he grabbed a towel and some cold water. He started to dab her lips to try and get the blood off just before he placed an ice pack on her bruised cheek. He handed her some painkillers.

"That bastard will pay." Archie muttered.

"The last thing I need, is you getting kicked of the football team because of my problems." Veronica said has she sat there in pain.

"He shouldn't have done what he did. No one should hit their partner. End of. I'm sick of Chuck and his bullshit. And now he's beating you." Archie said. He wiped the tear from Veronica's cheek, they were face to face by now. Veronica wanted to kiss him but she knew if Chuck found out, Archie would be the punchbag. Her thoughts got interrupted by Archie cupping her face, then their lips met. For a moment, Veronica remembered what it was like to have someone that cared for her and how it felt to be surprised.

"I'm sorry." Archie blushed.

"No, don't be." Veronica whispered. "We can't tell him, otherwise we'll both paying." Veronica feared.

"Hey, look at me... I'll never let him do that to you ever again."

"But I don't want you getting beaten up because of what I said or what I've done."

"I'm pretty sure I'm the one who leant in for the kiss..." Archie smirked. Veronica smiled whilst blushing.

"Yeah but it won't stop him."

"I promise I'm going to protect you." Archie said hugging her.

Throughout the following week, Chuck had tried to get in contact with Veronica. No one knew that he had hit her has she didn't want the drama but then Friday night came when Cheryl invited everyone including Chuck to Pops.

Veronica and Archie walked in together, Betty and Jughead were sitting at the counter whilst Cheryl was sat in a booth with Chuck.

"Oh so that's where you've been... hoeing it up with Andrews." Chuck said getting up from his seat.

"I could say the same thing about you." Veronica said looking at Cheryl. Archie could see Chucks fist clench.

"Don't you even dare." Archie snapped.

"Oh so now you share our little petty secrets with this guy. Veronica you're a different person. I was going to apologise but you deserved what I gave you."

All of a sudden, Jughead punched Chuck across his cheek before Archie could.

"Now get out of here." Jughead ordered.

Archie and the group looked in amazement.

"Thanks Jug." Veronica said whilst Archie held her hand.

"Anytime Ronnie, and I already ordered you're food... I was hungry and couldn't wait for you two lovebirds." Jughead started.
