Broken Hearted Girl (Beronica)

Cheryl wondered how long Veronica would be hung up over Betty. Veronica was broken, she wasn't herself. Ronnie hadn't been outside her house in days especially on girls night, so Cheryl decided to bring girls night to Ronnie. Cheryl knocked on the door. Smithers answered.

"Hi Smithers. Is Veronica here? I just thought I'd check up on how she's doing?" Cheryl asked.

"Yes Miss Blossom, if you follow me I'll take you to her."

Cheryl followed Smithers through the huge house. She didn't know what to expect when she found Veronica.

"She's just in there, is there anything I can get you?"

"Just a glass of water please." Cheryl said before going in the room. "Well at least we know you're alive." Cheryl began. Veronica looked up from her bed.

"Cheryl?"

"Don't sound so surprised Ronnie, you got your heart broken by a girl who didn't love you back. Of course me... your best friend, will come to the rescue. So put your best clothes on and be prepared to at least go for food at pops." Cheryl said.

"Cheryl I won't be going anywhere." Veronica stated.

"Ronnie you can't spend your entire life locked up in here, hiding away from reality. Yeah she didn't love you back but you don't need her, you have so many people around you that want to support you and you can't shut us out." Cheryl said.

"Okay fine, one milkshake and then back home." Veronica suggested.

"Two?"

"Okay... two." Veronica said has she walked into her en suite bathroom.

"Three?"

"Okay now you're pushing it." Veronica said slamming the bathroom door.

They both sat in the booth nearest to the door. Every time the door opened Veronica's eyes stared at the entrance like a Hawke. She didn't want to be seen by anyone she knew in school, especially Betty.

"Ronnie, you are too hung up over this." Cheryl said.

"Can you blame me? I mean we were Betty and Veronica, B&V and now because I had stupid feelings we're nothing. Not even friends." Ronnie explained.

The door opened again,
"Ronnie! Stop, Betty is not going to walk through that-" Cheryl stopped as she heard Betty Coopers voice enter the diner.
"Shit!" Cheryl said under her breath whilst Veronica's eyes lit up, even though her heart pounded with nerves and embarrassment.

Betty stopped talking has she saw Veronica. For a moment their eyes made contact, but Ronnie looked away. Betty was accompanied with Jughead, Archie, Josie and Reggie. They all sat in the booth behind Cheryl and Veronica.

"I still can't get over that she came up to you and said she loved you. Who does that?" Reggie joked whilst Josie and Jughead followed.

Veronica could feel her face go redder by the second. She started to breath heavy, she needed to get out of there. She stood up and walked towards the door. She reached for the handle but stopped. She took a deep breath and began to walk over to Betty's booth.

"I'm sorry, was there something you'd like to say to my face Reggie?" Veronica snapped whilst smacking the table with her hand. The whole diner had gone silent.

"Uh...um..." Reggie stuttered.

"That's exactly what I thought. Look if you haven't got anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all." Cheryl said to Betty's group whilst grabbing Veronica's arm and leading her outside.

Veronica rushed back into Cheryl's car. She decided to take Ronnie home straight away. Has they reached her house Cheryl stopped outside for a minute.

"If I knew she was going to show up-"

"Save it Cheryl. Do you know how hard it is to get over someone who you thought you'd be with no matter what happens? Who you thought loved you? Clearly not. It's no ones fault but mine. I shouldn't have opened up to her, I shouldn't have told her anything. We would've been alright now. I could've been in that booth instead of shitty Reggie."

"Yeah you could've, but Ronnie... Betty is just blind. She clearly can't see how amazing you are."

"Cheryl I don't want your pity party okay. After tonight, I'm going to change, no more patient, caring Veronica. No more being with toxic people that don't have time for me or my problems, no more trying to commit to someone who doesn't love you back." Veronica snapped.

Cheryl stayed silent, "No more broken hearted girl." Veronica stated.
