Thanksgiving love (Varchie)

It was Betty's turn to have thanksgiving at her and jugheads house. She invited Veronica, Archie, Kevin, Cheryl and Josie. Everyone was in a couple except for Kevin, he had just broken up with his boyfriend and didn't want to bring a rebound. Also, Veronica was new to the group, she hadn't met any of Betty's friends before has she was from New York.

"Did you get the right size turkey?" Betty asked jug whilst shopping at the grocery store.

"Yes, enough for 12 people." Jughead replied.

"There's only 8 people coming over!" Betty panicked.

"Then more turkey for me." Jug joked.

"I swear you love food more than me." Betty said picking out the best stuffing mix.

"That's not even possible... food is the love of my life." Jug joked. "What time is Veronica's plane landing?" Jughead asked.

"In an hour and I told her that you'd pick her up, along with picking Archie and kev up on the way back." Jug sighed.

"Really?"

"Look. I know you don't like Veronica very much but she's my cousin Jug, she's family and I need you to be nice. Plus Archie and kev will be in the car with you on the way back." Betty said.

"Fine."

Soon after Jug waited outside the nearest airport for Veronica. Finally she showed up but with a hundred bags.

"Juggie! Happy Thanksgiving!" Veronica rushed over to him and greeted him with a huge hug.

"Haply thanksgiving Veronica." Jug huffed whilst carrying nearly all of her bags out to the car.

"Is the food cooked? I'm starving! And also we are playing my music on the radio in the car." Veronica demanded whilst getting in the passenger seat. Jughead wished he hadn't agreed to having anyone over. He still had to pick up Archie and kev.

Finally Jughead made it back with everyone, Cheryl and Josie had already arrived.

"Okay so Veronica you'll have to share the guest room with someone because Cheryl and Josie are sharing the same bed. So you can share with either me or Archie?" Betty announced. Veronica looked at Archie.

"Sharing a bed? I don't think so." Veronica said.

"Well, I don't mind having the sofa." Archie said.

"Veronica come on." Betty sighed.

"Fine I'll have the couch and Archie you have the bed." Veronica said. "As long as you can carry my bags upstairs." Veronica suggested.

"Deal."

Once food was cooked and everyone was changed into nicer clothes, Betty called for everyone to sit at the dinner table.

"So how is everyone's families?" Betty asked.

"They're good, business is going great and I'm helping my dad as much as I can." Archie said whilst tucking into his dinner.

"Mother and I are currently looking for the perfect dress for the enagement party for me and Josie." Cheryl bragged whilst Josie rolled her eyes.

"Speaking of engagements. Juggie when are you going to ask Betty?" Veronica asked. Jughead nearly choked on his chicken whilst Betty nearly dropped her champagne glass.

"It's a lil soon don't you think?" Kevin said.

"They've been in a relationship for 3 years now, don't you think that's long enough? I'm sorry but if I was you Betty I'd be dropping subtle hints." Cheryl added.

"There's nothing subtle about you Cheryl." Jug murmured under his breath.

"Back yo you V, how Nick?" Kevin asked.l changing the topic.

"He's no more, he cheated, just like every other man in my life." Veronica said having a bit too much to drink.

"Oh V why didn't you say anything?" Betty asked.

"I didn't want to put a downer on thanksgiving." Veronica said.

"Idiot." Archie said breaking the long silence.

"Believe me, I know I am, trusting him and believing his lies." Veronica said.

"No I mean...why would anyone want to cheat on you?" Archie spoke. Everyone stopped eating due to being shocked.

"I mean look at her, she's the perfect girl." Archie said whilst Veronica started to blush. After many more bottles of wine, it was finally time to call it a night. Veronica started to really regret agreeing to sleeping on the couch. It was uncomfortable and she was freezing. It didn't help there was thunder and lightning which she was petrified of. It was 3am and Veronica couldn't put up with it anymore. She grabbed her phone and turned her torch on, she quietly sneaked upstairs and walked into the guest room where Archie was.

"Veronica? What are you doing?" Archie asked half awake.

"I can't sleep, the thunder, it scaring me. Can I sleep in here with you tonight?" Veronica asked.

"Sure." Archie said pulling the covers back. Veronica got in the bed but jumped due to the thunder. She laid down just before Archie placed his arm over her, pulling her closer to him. For some reason she wasn't scared of the thunder anymore.
