Mistakes (Beronica)

Veronica walked into the kitchen wearing her classic silk pjs with a silk kimono. Hermione was sat there drinking her coffee whilst reading the newspaper.

"Where's mine?" Veronica asked.

"You should know by now how to make your own coffee." Hermione said. "By the way a letter came for you."

Veronica grabbed the mail and found a letter from her dream university.

"It's just the term dates." Veronica said.

"And what about Betty?"

"Well she's applied-"

"No Ronnie, I meant it's her birthday today... are you at least going to go and see her?" Hermione said.

"Probably not mom. We're on a break." Veronica said.

"I think you should has I've spent money on her gift." Hermione snapped.

"Fine, Maybe. I have plans to go out dancing with Kevin tonight."

Betty on the other hand was receiving gifts from her parents and Polly whilst getting RSVP's from her friends to come to her party.

"Are you excited Betty?" Polly asked.

"I can't wait to just actually go out and just have fun, instead of being stuck in the house." Betty said curling her hair.

"Maybe you'll meet someone..." Polly smirked.

"Polly! No! Just because me and Veronica are on a break doesn't mean I'm going to be going out and kissing any person that's in front of me."

"Betty, there's someone here for you." Alice said interrupting the conversation. Betty walked downstairs only to find Veronica.

"Happy birthday." Veronica said holding a small gift bag.

"Thank you." Betty said just before she opened the bag and saw a photo album. She opened it up and found all old photos and new ones of them together.

"I had it done before summer break." Veronica explained.

"Will you be coming tonight?"

"I don't think it's right that I do." Veronica said. Betty grabbed Veronica's arm and dragged her upstairs.

"Betty what are you doing?!" Veronica snapped.

"Please, just come tonight. It's my birthday, I think I deserve that."

"You're the one that ended it Betty, you didn't want to move too fast. Me being there tonight won't fix us. It'll make us worse." Veronica said.

"No, we were fine. It just felt like you didn't want to be with me."

"Of course I did."

"Did? If you come tonight I'll know for sure you want to be with me." Betty said whilst opening her bedroom door, Veronica left without saying a word.

That night...
Veronica arrived with Kevin in the club. She wore a black pencil skirt with a purple top finished off with some heels and pearls. Whilst on the other side of town, Betty wore a blue dress and for a change had her hair down. She decided to have her party in Pops as money was tight right now in the Cooper family.

"Kevin you get the first round in..." Veronica said before setting off for the dance floor. There she met Archie Andrews who had always had a crush on Veronica since the day she got to Riverdale.
Kevin sat down whilst Veronica tried to get with Archie. Kevin knew this wouldn't end well. Whilst Betty was having a more quiet innocent gathering with her family and friends in Pops.

"Veronica I think we should head home." Kevin said realising Veronica was getting too drunk to make decisions.

"No Kevin, why are you sooo boring!" Veronica yelled.

"Fine, I'm going to see Betty. Something you should be doing too." Kevin yelled whilst walking away. As the night went on, Veronica was still with Archie, but she started to realise she had made a mistake. She should be with her girlfriend right now on her birthday rather than dancing with some guy she wasn't even interested in. Veronica pushed Archie away and grabbed her bag.

"Where you going Ronnie?" Archie yelled.

"This was a mistake. I'm getting my girl back."

"Girl?" Archie said confused.

Veronica rushed over to Pops, once she arrived she could see that the party was still going on. She walked in and all eyes were on her.

"Veronica you made it!" Betty said rushing over to her.

"I'm so sorry Betty, I've been heartless I know. But how about we start over again? A fresh start?" Veronica apologised. Betty thought for a minute. She looked at Polly that was sitting next to them. Polly nodded and whispered "Go for it!"
Betty turned back to face Veronica.

"Okay, hi I'm Betty Cooper..." Betty smirked.
