Riverdale One Shots

Road Trip Part 1

Veronica sat in the back with Betty whilst Jughead and Archie sat in the front seats. They had planned this road trip one year ago when they were all in relationships... but a lot can happen in one year. Veronica and Archie were over and so was Betty and Jughead. They had to go has they had already paid for it all and they saved for it since two years ago. They were going to a small Cabin in the woods.

"Ugh guys I think we need to find a gas station ASAP..." Archie said.

"We'll be fine... not long now right Arch?" Betty said, "Just keep going!" Betty added.

A few minutes later...
"I told you." Archie said.

"No no no! Don't you dare!" Betty yelled at the car that was slowly stopping.

"It's fine... look the gas station back there was what... a 20 minutes walk? It'll be fine , there's a diner right there too. Stop panicking Betty." Veronica suggested.

"Okay... Who wants to go though?" Jughead asked.

"These Valentino boots are not made for walking..." Veronica stated.

"I'll stay with the car." Archie said.

"Okay so looks like me and Jughead are walking. Let's go." Betty said with a sigh as she got out of the car. Soon after they began to walk, Veronica and Archie walked over to the diner awkwardly.

"Hey can we order some food?" Archie said to the waitress at the counter.

"Of course what you want?" The waitress replied.

"One chocolate milkshake and fries and one burger and soda." Archie paid whilst Veronica sat in one of the booths. Archie shortly joined.

"So... this is pretty funny right?" Archie said.

"What?"

"That we end up in a small diner just us two... after a breakup." Archie said.

"I guess... look can we not talk about it. I'm not completely fine with it yet. Get this 'vacay' out the way and maybe then we can all move on with our lives." Veronica said.

"Whatever you want." Archie said.

Meanwhile 10 minutes down the road...
"We shouldn't be that far away..." Jughead broke the silence.

"Yeah... can we talk about what happened?" Betty asked.

"Okay where do you wanna start?" Jughead asked.

"How about... I'm sorry for kissing Archie." Betty said.

"Well I don't forgive you but i can deal with us being friends." Jughead said.

"Jughead really? I really didn't mean to do it! I swear... I never meant to hurt you."

"But you did-" Jughead got interrupted by a loud horn noise coming from behind. They both turned their heads and saw a old truck speeding down the road next to them... they couldn't make out the drivers face... it was covered somehow but could see his eyes. They came eye to eye with him.

"Okay now I feel like we're going to die tonight." Jughead joked.

"Oh shut up and grab the gas." Betty said worriedly.

Back at the diner:
"Ronnie please... let's just talk."

"No Archie! I don't want to. You broke my heart again. You kissed my best friend and you expect me to be fine with it. I'm not in case your head didn't get it." Veronica stated. Archie reached for her hand.

"Please." Archie said has he held her hand in the table. Veronica for a moment wanted him again, but she couldn't. She'd been down this road too many times. They got interrupted by the noise of tyres skidding outside and the noise of smashed glass.

"What the hell?" Archie muttered as they both looked out the diner window. Archie ran outside along with Veronica following.

"Oh god no!" Veronica sighed. They both stared at Archie's damaged pick up. The windows were all smashed and the tyres were slashed.

"Great what do we do now?" Veronica asked.

"We're gonna have to call a recovery truck. And maybe they'll take us to the cabin." Archie said.

"What the hell happened?" Betty and Jughead asked as they approached them.

"I don't know maybe some guys did it."

"Did you see what car?" Jughead asked.

"Well we heard tyres skid so we looked the window and saw a old truck." Betty and Jughead looked at each other with a worried look.

"Hey guys... all of our phones are missing?" Veronica said just after she checked inside the truck.

"Look lets just go home." Betty said knowing what could potentially Happen.

"What? No!" Archie said.

"When me and Jug we're walking to the gas station there was a old pick up truck heading towards here... he was going so fast and he kept beeping his horn at us and it was just... weird and creepy. The last thing I need is to go to a cabin and be killed tonight." Betty panicked.

"Guys calm down... we'll be safe in the cabin okay?" Let me just call the recovery people." Archie said has he walked into the diner to borrow a phone. "You guys just stay inside the diner too." He added.
