Taehyung started to squeal like a little pig when Jimin told him that he would come back.
"What? Really?" he shouted, and then he laughed when Jimin confirmed it once again.
"Yes, really. Sorry, but you'll once more have to deal with my annoying little butt," he said with a grin.
"Ah, just when I thought I was finally getting rid of you," Taehyung joked, and then they both giggled.
"Does Yoongi know?" Taehyung asked. Jimin tugged at a loose thread on his jeans.
"Not yet," he said, "I thought about surprising him again, but I already did that, and... I don't know. And can't keep doing that." He chuckled. Taehyung hummed. "Then just call him. Tell him. He'll be happy about it, believe me."Jimin didn't doubt that. At least he thought so.
Sometimes, he wondered how Yoongi was doing without him. They still had their phone calls, but not as frequently as in the beginning. Twice a weeks was already a lot now.
It took three weeks to get used to a habit. Did it take Yoongi three weeks to get used to being without Jimin as well?
Part of him knew that it was ridiculous to think like that. Yoongi still complained to him about how much he missed him and that Jimin needed to visit them once again as soon as possible. But six months was a long time, and Jimin wouldn't blame Yoongi if he wasn't doing as bad as himself anymore.Jimin didn't want to think about that now, though.
"Yeah, I know," he said and sighed, "I'll call him and tell him."
He could practically hear that Taehyung was grinning as he said, "Go hang up now and call him, I don't want to have to keep up with his whiny ass any longer."
Jimin giggled. "Okay, okay. I'll text you as soon as I know when I'll arrive, yeah?"
"Okay. I'm glad you're coming back."
Jimin's cheeks hurt from smiling. "Me too," he said, "See you, then."He hung up and immediately dialed Yoongi's number. His heart was beating hard against his rip cage as he waited for Yoongi to pick up.
"Hey, Jiminie," Yoongi greeted him. He sounded a bit tired, but that wasn't a rarity these days. He always worked too much and slept too little, especially since Jimin wasn't there anymore to force him to go to bed.
"Hey hyung," Jimin greeted him back. He wrapped arm around his pillow and pressed it against his chest. "How are you?"
Yoongi inhaled deeply. "I'm okay. A bit tired. And you? We haven't talked in almost a week."
Jimin felt his heart grow heavier at that. "Yeah, I know. I'm sorry," he apologized. His smile faded slowly. "But I'm good, don't worry."
"You sure? Why are you calling, then?"
Jimin bit down on his lip and glanced at the window. "I just... wanted to hear your voice, I guess," he said at first. Yoongi chuckled. "You sure? I mean, that's cute and all, but –"
"And I need to tell you something," Jimin quickly interrupted him, then he pressed his mouth against the pillow as he waited for Yoongi's response."Oh," Yoongi said, just sounding slightly surprised, "I knew it. Go ahead, then."
Jimin was back to grinning like a fool and nervously played with the corner of the pillow.
"Okay, okay... I don't even know how to say it..."
Yoongi sighed irritatedly. He always did that when Jimin wanted to tell him something important but then took ages to actually say it.
"Just do it," he said. Jimin glanced at the window once again, at the clear, blue sky – the sun was shining but it was cold anyways which was no surprise since it was only February. He wondered if the sun was out where Yoongi was as well.
"Alright, so..." Jimin took a shaky breath.
"I may or may not... have enrolled at your university..."That was it. It was out and Jimin drew a sharp breath which he held then, waiting for Yoongi's answer.
"What?" Yoongi asked. He sounded confused.
"You... really? Are you serious?"
Jimin exhaled. "Yeah, yes, I am. Is that bad? Oh, Yoongi, I'm sorry – I knew I should've talked to you about it," Jimin suddenly blurted out. He felt a hot shiver running down his spine and his cheeks were burning. That was the one thing he hadn't thought about – what if Yoongi actually didn't want him to move back? What if he secretly enjoyed being away from Jimin?
Now, of course Jimin hadn't thought about that before since it was simply absurd, but Yoongi's undertone and his words didn't sound exciting at all and maybe he had just made a horrible mistake.
