'dis a mess prepare please buckle up
~
Considering Jimin and Hoseok's last talk had gone quite well yet ended so abruptly, Jimin immediately agreed on meeting up with him once again. He supposed he had some explaining to do, anyway. Or, at least apologizing.
So, same place as last time. Jimin liked the café. It wasn't too big as it was located on a small backstreet of the city center. The whole group had used to come here on a regular basis, often times after class, just to have a coffee, maybe a slice of cake, and hang out a bit.
Jimin smiled at the sweet memory as he neared the place.
He was a little bit late as he was so often. His friends knew about his bad habit of getting ready way too late and then taking way too long, though. Usually when they got pissed he just giggled it off.
Hoseok had messaged him that he would be sitting in the back, just where they had sat last time. Jimin pushed the doors open and craned his neck to get a better overview of the place and find his friend. His heart sank a bit when he didn't find Hoseok where he had expected him to sit.
Then, his breath got caught in his throat and his entire body tensed up when instead, he found a different person sit there, someone he had not expected to see here today, and to be honest, he hadn't expected to see them at all any time soon.
But it was unmistakably him, sitting right where Hoseok was supposed to sit, and as Jimin's legs carried him over to the table, a presentiment told him that this wasn't just a big coincidence.
He came to a halt in front of the table.
Yoongi was typing something on his phone, or maybe he was just pretending to as not to look too lonely. When he noticed someone was standing in front of him, however, he glanced up, then lowered his head again before realizing who he had just seen and looking back up, eyes wide and skin a few shades paler.
Jimin's throat went dry.
Yoongi looked tired. He had never been good at getting an appropriate amount of sleep; it had always either been too much or too little. But at least back then he used to have Jimin who nagged him about going to bed or getting up, and as they had spent most nights together anyway it had been easy for him to take care of him.
Now, he wasn't so sure if anyone was looking after Yoongi at all. Or, if the elder let anyone close enough for that.
But despite the dark shadows underneath his drooping eyes and his dry lips, Yoongi looked beautiful, and it was then that Jimin realized he would always look beautiful to him, no matter what. Even if one day, for some reason, Jimin would finally fall out of love, even then Yoongi would remain the most beautiful person on earth. And in a way, Jimin was glad.
"Hey," he said, his voice raspy and quiet. Yoongi blinked at him.
"Hi," he said, "What, uh... you're here."
"Yeah."
"Didn't know Hoseok invited you, too."
Jimin squinted his eyes in confusion. Then, he understood. His weird feeling from earlier had been justified.
"You were going to meet with Hoseok?" he asked and Yoongi nodded.
"What a surprise," Jimin said and chuckled dryly, "Me, too. He left out the fact that you'd be here, too, though."
Yoongi raised his eyebrows. It took him a little longer to get what was going on, but eventually he did. He rubbed his face, exhaled a shaky breath.
