Jimin was woken up by his phone ringing.
It was half past four in the afternoon, and he was lying on his bed, in between school books and pens and papers.
"Shit," he hissed and ran a hand through his hair, "Fuck, fuck, fuck!"
He had fallen asleep while studying for the math exam that was coming up tomorrow. Jimin looked at his clock. A shiver ran down his spine as he realized he had wasted almost two hours with napping when he could've studied as well.
"Shit," he cursed again and fell back against his pillow, "I'm so going to fail."
He was really bad at math. Okay, not really – but he liked to pretend he was, so no one, including himself, had too high expectations when it came to his marks.
Jimin grumbled as he sat up straight again and already thought about which excuse he could use now so he didn't have to keep studying when he realized that his phone was still ringing.
He threw it a glance and spotted Yoongi's name on the display, then he quickly reached out and grabbed it.
Suddenly, he was wide awake.
It was about a week after their first date, and it had been a bit quieter between them. Yoongi was always busy with university and Jimin had to study a lot for school which made it hard for them to meet.
But Jimin was sure that if they really wanted to, they could find the time.
"Hello?" he said right after he picked up, "Hyung?"
"Hey, Jimin-ah."
Jimin released a breath he had been holding and smiled. "Hey."
"Hi."
It was quiet for a moment, then they both chuckled.
"Are you free right now?" Yoongi asked. Jimin looked around, at the open math book and his notepad with the task he had started working on a few hours ago but never finished.
No, he didn't really have time, but he couldn't tell Yoongi that. It had been so long ever since they had seen each other, and Jimin really missed him. He would be hesitant about admitting that, though.
"I guess?" he replied, "Depends on what for."
"It's okay if you're busy," Yoongi quickly said, "Guess it's more important than me."
He probably didn't mean to sound reproachful, but Jimin felt his heart beat a bit harder as the nervousness crept up his spine.
"Hyung," he carefully asked, "You are not mad, right?"
"Huh?" Yoongi made, "No! No, I... sorry. What are you doing right now?"
"Studying."
"Oh, sure," Yoongi said. Jimin believed he was nodding. "Right..."
Yoongi sighed, then.
"It's just," he continued a bit hesitant, "I kind of miss you, I guess? I don't know. We saw each other last week and I shouldn't be too clingy, I know that. Still. I'd like to see you again, if that's okay with you."
Jimin didn't notice the grin on his lips until his cheeks started hurting.
"Yoongi," he said and giggled, "Hey, I'd like to see you again, too."
"Oh," Yoongi breathed, "Yeah."
"I could come over now."
"But – school?"
"It can wait. Can I come over?"
Yoongi was quiet for a few seconds.
"Yes," he then said, "Yes, please."

Luckily, it didn't take Jimin too long before he arrived at Yoongi's apartment. He didn't live too far away, close to the university, and still in town. Jimin made it in about thirty minutes.
