Right after Jimin had hurried down the first few steps, tears stung in his eyes, and the farther down he went, the deeper the realization of how unnecessary that fight had just been sunk in.
But at the same time, Jimin was too proud to walk back upstairs and apologize. After all, Yoongi had made mistakes as well.
So, Jimin walked all the way downstairs, and he didn't stop, until he reached the door. Then, he just stood there.
Had he been too harsh? Probably.
Had he been too hasty? Probably, yes
Had Yoongi done anything wrong?
Jimin turned around and looked up the stairs.
Probably...?
God, how he hated moments like these. Jimin knew that he jumped the gun more often than not, and he regretted it every single time. He was surprised that Yoongi still forgave him.
A sigh left his lips as he slowly walked back upstairs again.

The knock on Yoongi's door didn't even surprise him. He took his time to open.
Jimin looked at him with huge eyes.
"Hey."
Yoongi raised one eyebrow. Jimin swallowed.
"I'm sorry."
For another few moments, Yoongi just stood there and stared at Jimin, and Jimin stared right back. Then, Yoongi let out a defeated sigh.
"Come in," he mumbled and stepped aside.
He would lie if he said he wasn't tired of their constant fights, especially since Jimin had the tendency to freak out a lot faster than other people. He just had a hot temper. But Yoongi also knew that it was one of the things that came with dating Jimin, and he had to accept it.
"I don't know what was wrong with me," Jimin admitted quietly. Yoongi scoffed. "What a surprise."
Jimin weakly glared at him. But he didn't retort anything; probably because he didn't want to provoke another fight. Or maybe because he knew he didn't have the right to disagree.
"I'm sorry," he repeated. Yoongi hummed.
"It's okay."
"It's not."
"You're right, it's not."
Yoongi walked over to his couch and sat down there. Jimin followed him, but he didn't sit; he just stood there in front of Yoongi, nervously fiddling with his fingers and chewing on his bottom lip.
"I was so excited for today, and I guess I... I was kind of disappointed," Jimin began to explain. Yoongi frowns.
"You know that it doesn't work like that, right?" he asked, "You can't just freak out at me whenever something doesn't go the way you like."
"I know," Jimin said and ran a hand through his hair. He looked frustrated. Hopefully with himself and not with Yoongi.
"I had hoped we could spend this day together and buy some Christmas presents. I'm sorry that I didn't accept when you said you didn't want to, okay?"
Yoongi dragged his tongue across the inside of his cheek.
"It's okay," he finally said and sighed. "I'm sorry I said you were stupid."
At that, Jimin cracked a smile. "Not the worst thing you've said to me."
Yoongi chuckled dryly. "Unfortunately no."
He got up and stepped closer to Jimin, wrapped his arms around his waist and pulled him close.
Immediately, Jimin leaned his head against his chest.
"I love you," Yoongi whispered, pressing a kiss to the top of his head. Jimin wrapped his arms around his neck.
"I love you, too."
Then, he looked up at Yoongi and kissed him softly. Yoongi's heart fluttered. Even after all this time, after the countless fights they've had, Park Jimin still made him feel like that.
And Yoongi was sure that he never would stop doing so.
They moved to the couch. Jimin sat on Yoongi's lap and slowly, their kiss grew more heated. Yoongi licked Jimin's bottom lip, bit it softly and then soothed it with his tongue. Jimin let out a sigh; a satisfied one.
Yoongi's hands slipped underneath his shirt and he ran his fingertips up and down Jimin's skin, just the way he knew the younger liked it. Jimin grew pliant underneath his touch. He pulled away and hummed happily. Yoongi watched him with a smirk.
"You can take my shirt off," Jimin said and then leaned forward to press his lips on Yoongi's neck.
"Wow," Yoongi chuckled, "Make up sex?"
Jimin giggled at that. His hot breath hit the sensitive skin on Yoongi's neck and sent a shiver down his back.
"Wouldn't be the first time," Jimin replied. Yoongi hummed in agreement.
"We can do better than that, though," he said while thinking of the countless times their fights had gotten interrupted by one of them attacking the other one with his lips, the times he had pinned Jimin against the wall and how often they had ended up in the bedroom instead of sorting things out.
"Yeah?" Jimin said, "Show me, then."
Yoongi raised his eyebrows. He grabbed Jimin's thighs and got up, lifting Jimin up with him.
He turned around and threw the younger on the couch, then he settled between his legs and leaned over him. Jimin gasped and laughed breathlessly.
"Don't laugh at me," Yoongi said and leaned closer.
"I'm sorry," Jimin giggled, "I'm trying."
Yoongi kissed him; it didn't stop Jimin from laughing, though, and it was contagious.
They had to pull away again in order to laugh and not suffocate.
"God," Jimin said, "I hate us."
Yoongi ended up lying on top of Jimin, his head on Jimin's chest, listening to his fast heartbeat.
Jimin's fingers ran through his hair, and it was a pleasant feeling. Yoongi's eyes fluttered shut; he had to try really hard not to fall asleep.
"Yoongi," Jimin said.
"Hm."
"I love you."
"Hmm."
Jimin kissed the top of his head. "Sleep well, baby," he whispered.
Right before drifting off, Yoongi felt his own heart skip a beat at the nickname.
Fuck, he thought, I really am in love.
And he didn't want to keep hurting Jimin. He hated their fights and the constant crying and screaming.
But he didn't know how not to fight with Jimin. It felt like it had already become a part of their relationship, and it sucked. It sucked so much to know that he was the one hurting Jimin.
He was the most important person in his life, after all. And Yoongi couldn't risk to lose him. Not now, not ever.
But if they kept going like that, he inevitably would. And it scared the shit out of Yoongi.
