It had to be twenty two hours later, Yoongi didn't check the time

Yoongi was doing great. Really.
The guilt and doubts from the previous day were gone, which surprised him, really; but it was only a sign that he really had made the right decision.
Jimin was great and all, sure, but the relationship was too unhealthy. Yoongi hadn't been happy, and even though Jimin claimed that he had been - the fact that he had cried more than he had laughed while being around Yoongi showed the opposite.

Yoongi leaned against the counter in his kitchen and took a sip of his coffee, his other hand holding his phone.
Hoseok had told him he would come over again today, and although Yoongi wouldn't really mind being alone for a bit, he still liked having his friends around, and it was kind of boring right now (see, usually, he would've spent any free minute with Jimin), so he searched for Hoseok's contact and called him.

"Hey, Yoongi," Hoseok said right after he picked up. He was outside.
"Hey, where are you right now?" Yoongi asked and put down his coffee mug on the counter.
"Uh - on my way to the metro station," he said.
Yoongi furrowed his brows. "Why?" he asked.
He wasn't living that far away from Hoseok.
"Well..." Hoseok sighed.
"See, Namjoon asked me if we wanted to hang out today, so that's where I'm going now."
Yoongi froze.
"Oh," he said, "He didn't tell me."
Hoseok was quiet.
"I know," he mumbled, much to Yoongi's surprise.

"What? And why's that?" He left out the fact that Hoseok was supposed to meet him, his best friend, and Yoongi was sure that he was more in need to spend time with Hoseok at the moment - after all he broke up with his boyfriend just yesterday.
"I don't know," Hoseok said, but it was obvious that he was lying.
And while he then continued to make up a random excuse as to why he had to hang up now, Yoongi understood.
"Wait," he said, and Hoseok stopped his prattling with a sharp sigh.
"Is it... because of Jimin?" he asked. Hoseok was silent.
"He doesn't want me there, does he?"

Just the thought of that felt... odd. There had never been serious problems between his friends, not even that time when Seokjin found out that Namjoon had smoked a cigarette and wouldn't talk to him for a week. And not even that time when Hoseok got drunk and yelled at Taehyung for being a "snarky ass bitch" and that, apparently, Taehyung was selfish and arrogant and that Hoseok didn't want to be his friend anymore.
They made up two days later, and everything had been fine. There were no secret meetings behind their backs and no one had to choose sides because it was only between them and everyone accepted that gladly. Of course it had to be different with Yoongi and Jimin.

"Hyung, it's not like that..." Hoseok said.
"Then what? Why did no one tell me?"
"Namjoon would've loved to have you there, you know that." Hoseok took a deep breath in.

"But apparently, Jimin didn't want that. I don't know if that's true."

A sinking feeling spread in Yoongi's stomach. He bit down on the inside of his lip and looked over at the window.
Apparently, he was quiet for too long, because Hoseok spoke up again.

"I'm really sorry, Yoongi, I don't know who did or said what, honestly. Maybe you should ask Namjoon."
Yoongi hummed. "No, it's fine. I think I'm just gonna come over anyways." He didn't know if that was a good idea, but if Jimin thought that he could just turn his friends against him, then fuck him.
But honestly, Yoongi expected Hoseok to tell him not to be childish and to just stay at home so he wouldn't cause any trouble. Instead, much to his surprise, he sighed tiredly and just said, "Knock yourself out!"

And that was it, then he hung up. Yoongi lowered his phone.

Part of him understood Jimin, or at least tried to. Yoongi broke up with him just yesterday, it was kind of obvious that he didn't want to see him again today. And who was Yoongi to blame him for that?
But then again, why didn't he just stay away instead? And most importantly, why did Namjoon just agree on not inviting Yoongi?
