"Are you alright?"
Jimin slowly turned his head. Jungkook threw him a quick glance, then focused on the street again.
"Yeah," Jimin responded, "I'm fine."
"You don't look fine," Jungkook stated. Jimin stayed quiet and leaned his head against the window again, looking nowhere in particular.
After a while, Jungkook tried to get him to talk once more.
"Is it because of what Yoongi said?" he asked and Jimin wondered if it was really that obvious.
"Look, I didn't think it was such a big deal, I didn't mean to be – "
"No, it's fine," Jimin interrupted him and smiled for the effect.
Jungkook threw him another glance. "I'm sorry," he said.
"It's fine," Jimin repeated.
That was that, and they returned to being silent. Jungkook was obviously uncomfortable, but Jimin didn't really care. He wasn't in the mood for talking, especially not when it was about Yoongi. Said man was plaguing his mind enough already.
"Can you drop me off at home?" Jimin asked. Jungkook's head shot around and for a moment, Jimin feared he might crash the car. But then, Jungkook looked back at the road.
"I thought you wanted to come over for a while?" he said and faintly, Jimin could remember that they had made plans for the evening. But he wasn't in the mood for that anymore, not after seeing Yoongi again today. Right now, he was feeling sick to his stomach and just wanted to be alone.
"I'm not feeling too well," Jimin said. Jungkook frowned.
"You said you were alright just a few minutes ago."
"Did I?" Jimin asked tiredly. Jungkook stayed quiet.
A while later, they stopped in front of Jimin's apartment. Jimin was about to leave the car when Jungkook stopped him.
"Wait," he said, "Jimin."
Jimin blinked at him.
"You know you can talk to me," Jungkook said, and it wasn't an offer, it was a fact.
"I worry about you, yeah? If you're mad at me, just know that I didn't mean to be rude today. I didn't think it was a big deal. And if it's something else, just tell me, please."
Jimin considered him for a while. How weird would it sound if he told Jungkook what was really on his mind?
Maybe weird was the wrong word – it would be straight up mean. Jimin couldn't tell Jungkook that seeing Yoongi still hurt him
It wasn't really news. But Jimin had hoped that it would get better.
"You didn't do anything wrong," Jimin said honestly and smiled. Then, he leaned forward and pressed a soft kiss to the corner of Jungkook's mouth.
"Don't worry, okay? I'll text you." And with that, Jimin left the car.

Jimin held his phone loosely in his hand. He had spent the last thirty minutes or so lying on his couch and staring at his call history, at Yoongi's name at the top – he still couldn't remember what had happened a few days ago. He didn't remember calling Yoongi and he didn't know what he had told him.
Maybe it hadn't been so bad. Sure, Yoongi had behaved weirdly today, but he hadn't mentioned anything.
Technically, Jimin could just ask him. Would he do that? Probably not.
He thought of the elder's words from earlier, how passionate he had seemed. Things weren't supposed to be like that, Yoongi wasn't supposed to care.
Yet, he did.
Before Jimin knew what he was doing, he had pressed the call button.
Yoongi picked up after the fourth ring.
At first, he didn't say anything, and Jimin could only hear his even breathing.
Then, he said, "Hello?"
