It was 40 months before their break up when they got into their first real fight.
May. Jimin was still going to school and Yoongi had almost finished his first year of university.
Everything was going well; they had been dating for about seven months now.The school year was coming to an end and after summer holidays, Jimin would start going to university, too. Here, in Seoul, of course; at least that's what he had told Yoongi.
That way, they could still see each other on a regular basis, and maybe, just maybe, they would move in together some day.
But not now, they were still young. Yoongi wasn't going to ask Jimin just now, he was sure that the younger would reject him anyways. Besides, Jimin spent too much time at Yoongi's apartment and it wouldn't make a difference if he moved in or not, so they could as well wait.In these seven months that they had been together, the only conflicts they had had where about what they would have for dinner or why Yoongi didn't want to go out with their friends for the night but would rather stay at home or why Jimin couldn't just cancel his dance lesson for once and instead come to Yoongi's place.
These weren't real fights, it was just them bickering until they decided on something and hugged it out. That's why Yoongi was in no way prepared for what was going to happen on that day in May.
He was in his apartment, learning for class. Jimin had promised to drop by later, and Yoongi absolutely didn't mind; not only hadn't they had the chance to meet in, like, five days, but Yoongi also really didn't want to keep on writing essays or reading barren texts.
So when his bell finally rang he had to contain himself not to jump up and tear the door open.
He did have a smile on his lips when he saw Jimin, though."Hey." He stepped aside to let Jimin enter, then he closed the door.
"Hyung." Jimin smiled as well, yet something seemed to be off.Yoongi kissed him on the lips and waited for him to take off his shoes and his jacket before he cocked one eyebrow up and gave him a scrutinizing look.
"Okay, what's wrong?" he asked. Jimin ducked his head but didn't say anything. Instead, he stepped forward and wrapped his arms around Yoongi's waist.
"Nothin'," he mumbled. Yoongi squinted his eyes slightly. He eagerly accepted Jimin's kiss, though.
"I missed you," Jimin whispered. His eyes were still closed, and he didn't give Yoongi the opportunity to answer before he leaned in again and pressed his lips against Yoongi's once more.Yoongi cupped his cheeks and caressed his smooth skin. They deepened the kiss until their tongues were touching and Jimin's hand had slipped underneath Yoongi's shirt.
Days like these were quite rare, when Jimin was confident enough to show Yoongi that he wanted to go further than just kissing.
They both had been sexually active for only a few months and this was all pretty new to them, so Yoongi couldn't blame him for being reluctant.
Usually, he would take this opportunity to give Jimin what he wanted. But today, it was different, and maybe it was just because Jimin had seemed a bit off when he had entered the apartment.Yoongi pulled away with a hum and chuckled. "A bit eager, huh?" he asked and grinned. Jimin pouted. "Sorry," he mumbled. Yoongi immediately felt sorry and pulled him closer.
"Hey, there's nothing to apologize for," he assured him and pressed a kiss on his forehead."I just wanted to make sure that you're alright."
Jimin rolled his eyes. "I told you that I'm okay. Really." Then, he tried to kiss Yoongi again, but Yoongi, surprisingly, took a step back.
"Hey!" Jimin frowned at him.
"I just – sorry," Yoongi said, "You seemed a bit tense. That's why I was asking."And Jimin seemed to get that Yoongi wasn't buying anything of what he had told him, so he sighed. He fiddled with his fingers and looked down at his feet.
"I uh..." he began, then he looked up again, but not at Yoongi; instead, he looked over at his jacket that was hanging on the coat hook.
