The second semester of the SideThot's second year of high school had begun. Christmas break was exciting, Aggie and Dylan went on a soccer retreat in L.A. Tobi and Josh went to a soccer retreat in San Fransisco. The rest of the SideThots remained here, doing things among themselves.
"Hey, Si.. and Veronica?" Ethan greeted. The questioning tone mostly because Simon and Veronica had never arrived at the same time before.
"Yeah.. hi," Veronica rolled her eyes annoyed and passed the boy to go to the girls. Simon remained in front of the boys.
"Simon, I thought you were coming on the retreat?" Josh asked as Simon laid down on a bench in the commons and yawned.
"I was but, my mom needed me home for something, so you know," Simon answered and curled up into a ball on the bench.
"Why are you acting so tired?" Harry asked, "and why did you and Veronica, of all people, walk in at the same time?"
Maybe he was going to get a response out of Simon, but they'd never know. Simon was dead asleep on the bench. Snoring as if he hadn't slept the whole one and a half week break.
"Veronica," Dylan said, "why couldn't you hang out all week? You're never that busy.."
"Dad needed me for something important," She answered simply, "why is it so hot in this school?"
"Maybe if you didn't wear a sweat shirt all the time you wouldn't feel that way," Anusha pointed out.
"I mean.. true," She replied and yawned before reaching to take off her sweatshirt. She turned around during the process so it'd be easier to just stuff the sweatshirt in her bag. Once it was off and she was stuffing it in her bag the girls all noticed something on her shirt.
"Is that Simon's Jersey?" Aggie whisper asked to her friends. They all took a second glance at the jersey. Sure enough, it said Minter on the back. Fixed from "MiniMiner" after the fundraiser.
"Hey, V, is that-" Nadeen was about to ask before the bell rang. Simon shot up behind them and stood up immediately. Josh fell off of him as he had been a good friend and sat on him shortly after he fell asleep.
He ran over to the girls and looked at all of them before talking to Veronica, "Put your sweatshirt on," He said first, "now let's go."
"It definitely is," Nadeen said and looked back to her friends, "you don't think?"
"Did we forget she has a boyfriend?" Anusha interrupted before anyone responded to Nadeen.
"Oh.. we're idiots," Lexi said and everyone nodded again. The boys walked over to them. "You guys notice anything up with Simon?" Josh asked.
"No..did you guys notice anything up with Veronica?" Rachael responded.
"Something up with both of them?" Vik asked and crossed his arms, "can't be good."
"Jealous.." Harry muttered and Vik just groaned and walked away to class.
"Would I have to change my last name to Minter?" Veronica asked Simon as they walked.
Aggie stopped Lachlan from walking around the corner and held out her hand to keep him quiet.
"No, actually, I don't think you understand how this works.." Simon laughed as he pulled open the door to their class and they both walked inside.
"Did you hear what I did?" Aggie asked her boyfriend, who indeed had heard, but was confused.
"Yeah but I don't really-"
"Good enough." Aggie silenced him and walked off and left Lachlan at the corner of the hallway confused.
"Why are we here?" Harry asked Aggie as she stood with them in the gym. Her behind the podium trying to be, and ultimately succeeding, at being presidential.
