Veronica, Dylan, Vik, Simon, Josh, and Tobi all piled into the Minter house after coming back from the Senior League game in Los Angeles county. Usually, traveling all the way to L.A. might've been fun, but not when Silver Wood didn't have enough money to get them a hotel for the night, resulting in all six of them (Veronica's parents forced her to go) having to travel to L.A, play a game, and then back all in one day. They were exhausted.
Veronica had a little more pep in her step, but she was basically dying from a heat stroke. "If mom and dad ever try to force me to a game again, remind me to at least plead my case."
"Why do you hate supporting me?" Simon asked and then poked Vik, who had collapsed on the couch. "At least support your boyfriend."
"Don't call him my boyfriend," Veronica responded, "That's like me calling Harry your boyfriend." Vik said something in protest to her first statement, but it was muffled by the couch.
"Lads, he's back!" Suddenly Harry was tumbling down the stairs and he wrapped Simon in a hug. "I missed you!"
Simon was too tired to comprehend that Harry was being cute. He said, "What the fuck?"
Liz looked exhausted in her own form, following Harry down the stairs. "He's been saying he misses you all day. Apparently you're the only one who's nice to him."
"Aw," Simon said and then patted Harry's head. When he got closer, he smelt a whiff of alcohol coming from the boy. "And he's drunk?"
                              Liz nodded. "A little."
"Did you drink from the wine cabinet?" Veronica asked, "And why are you guys even here? And how did you get in?"
"Spare key." Liz pointed to a window that was very much broken, implying that was the 'spare key.' Veronica ran over and examined the glass. Yup, Harry had most definitely punched their way in.
"Spare key!?" She shouted back at Liz, who just shrugged, not at all caring about the damage.
"Hey, Lewis can fix it before your parents get back."
Dylan emerged from the kitchen with some water she'd retrieved for her and Tobi. Tobi had shot about ten penalties at the game and Dylan had to have at least run up and down the field near a hundred times. Mostly, she did it so she didn't throttle the Gold River members of their team. They all called her mean things for breaking up with Wyatt, and she couldn't understand how he'd reverted to Jaeden-like behavior after the breakup. "Oh, yeah, I forgot your parents are gone this weekend."
Liz's face dropped. "You forgot? We've been planning this for a week."
Tobi walked over and poked Harry, who Simon had dragged over to the couch to collapse next Vik, in the face. "We've planned on getting Harry drunk for a week?"
Harry was passed out on Simon's lap. Simon looked down at him with something of a mix between fondness and being disgusted. "I hope not. I fear his liver is going to give out."
"Guys," Liz said, "How did you forget?"
"Forget what?" Vik asked from the couch. "How tired I am? How thirsty I am? Veronica, can you get me some water?"
"No," She answered and then looked at Liz. "Where's everyone else?"
                              "They're—"
"Wassup fuckers!" Josh shouted and bursted through the unlocked front door with a pack of beer and about a thousand different types of chips. Anusha was behind him holding a carton of juice, looking disappointed like she'd been trying to convince Josh not to do that when he walked in the door. She pushed past him and dropped of the juice in the kitchen before returning.
