Chapter 7: Manhunt

Zeke's POV

What am i gonna do? They said that Tony and his friends are here somewhere. Geez! So, this is the feeling of getting nervous. Paano kung mahanap nila ako? Masisira ang lahat ng mga plans ko. I cant let that happen. Maya-maya ay may kumatok. I've got goosebumps. This is the first na makita kong tumayo ang mga hair ko sa braso. Hindi ako ito. So, i opened the door. Thank god, its just Mai, the lesbian or boyish dorm-mate of grossy girl.

"Pwede ba pumasok?" she said. Umatras ako ng konti so she can enter the room.

"So, Nandyan pa ba yung mga naghahanap sa akin?" i asked.

"Wala na. Eto, isuot mo muna. Ako, naiinitan jan sa suot mong leather jacket at maong pants eh. Akin ang mga damit na yan. Ako lang naman ang may damit panlalaki dito eh. At dont worry, bagong laba lahat yan." she handed me a pair of tshirt and short pants. I scan the shirt first then the shorts. Baka may butas or may something sa fabric. Nasanay lang ako na hindi nagsusuot ng damit ng iba. Since i have no choice right now, kailangang mag double check.

"Okay. Thanks, i'll wear it later. After i take a bath. So where is the bathroom here?" i know i smell bad. I dont have my hygiene kit right now. Andun lahat ng gamit ko sa pagligo. My toothbrush, towel, facial wash, mouthwash, etcetera. How can i survive without my kit?

Damn. Hindi ko alam kung tatagal pa ako dito. But i need to do this.

"Ayun ang banyo, kumaliwa ka bago ka dumating ng kusina. You understand me?" she said. Of course i understand. Do i look like an idiot? Geez! People nowadays are soo—whatever.

"What about my soap? shampoo? toothbrush?" i asked.

"Sabon at shampoo? Meron dun sa banyo. Toothbrush? Hmm.. Oo nga no? hmm.. teka. Sige, ganito nalang, bibili ako sa tindahan. I'll buy toothbrush. Then you make pay me, gets?" she said. Seriouly, i want to laugh right now. She's the worst english speaker i've ever encountered. Pwede naman kasi magtagalog. Arrgh!

"But i dont have my money right now. Pwede mo nalang singilin si Chloe." i answered. Oops. Tama ba ang sinabi ko. Malamang magagalit yun. Well, i dont care! Kargo niya ako since she let me stay here.

"Sige sabi mo yan ha." then she went outside. While waiting for the toothbrush. I sat beside but not too close to a lady who's watching TV.

"Hi Zeke." she said and smiled. So, i also smiled. Bumaling ako sa TV. She's watching the news.

"International Rockstar Hottie, Zeke Anderson is reported missing."

Geez! Its all over the news. Malamang sinadya talaga ni Tony na ipakalat ito sa media. I should be more careful from now on.

"Grabe tol, iba talaga kapag sikat no? Ako, nung nawala ako nung bata pa ako, hindi man lang ako hinanap ng nanay ko. Iba ka talaga, men!" Mai said. Hawak na niya ang toothbrush na binili niya.

"Can i get the toothbrush?" i said. She handed it to me then i walked away. Minsan dumadating sa point na pinagsisisihan ko na naging public figure ako. Hindi man lang ako makalabas ng bahay na walang kasamang bodyguards and the worst is, i dont have any real friends. I remember when i was in highschool, they just talked to me because i am Zeke Anderson not because they want to be friends with me. I guess nasanay nalang ako na mag isa lang ako. Now in college, i became homeschooled. I'm on my fourth year now. I'm taking up Business Management. Sabi ni Dad, ako ang susunod na mamamahala ng business niya sa New York.

Yes, that is one of my goals in life. Pero ang pinakagoal ko ay mahanap si Mama. I want to know the truth kung bakit siya biglang nawala sa buhay namin ni Dad. I know mahahanap ko rin siya. Soon.
