[Ashton’s P.O.V]
I woke up beside Anna, the sun spilling in through the small gaps between the curtains. My arms was thrown over her tiny body, she was snuggling into my left side, still fast asleep.
“Morning beautiful,” I whispered almost to myself.
Untangling myself from her I stood up, scanning the room for my shirt. I threw it somewhere before I fell asleep, but last night isn’t as clear as I thought it would be, that’s when reality slapped me hard in the face.
Shit.
Last night I let my guards down again! I let her kiss me, and I kissed her back. I have got to stop doing this. All this hurts her, even though it isn’t intentional.
I don’t want to hurt you, Diana. I cannot pull myself away from you when you look at me with those big brown eyes, and thick lashes, wearing that expression of longing. I can’t do that anymore.
‘She won’t remember, but I will’
Those words played repeatedly in my mind. She won’t remember, God I hope so.
Buttoning up the last few buttons on my shirt I glanced one last time at her sleeping figure and jogged down the stairs. It was 12pm. Ah, so I wasn’t as early as I expected.
I groaned in hunger.
Ugh, I need food. Someone get me food I pleaded.
“Where the fuck is it?”
I heard someone in the kitchen, followed by banging noises of drawers and cupboards opening and closing.
“Mase? Mason is that you?” I asked, following the noise.
“Yes” He groaned as he came into view.
“What’s wrong?”
“Hangover. What do ya think?” he grunted.
I chuckled, “No one asked you to do so many shots.”
“I swear to god, I will slash your throat.”
“Ah Mr. Grumpy pants, perhaps I should give you a couple shots more. You’re no fun in the morning”
“Ashton really, go find someone else to annoy.”
“Wow you’re in hella pissy mood. Okay, what are you looking for? Looks like you could use two more hands and another set of eyes.” I said, wiggling my eyebrows.
He looked up at me, thought for a moment and replied, “Alright. I’m looking for ibuprofen or an asprin. I can’t find either, and my head is about to collapse and burst in a bubble of red brain cells soaked in blood.”
“Like that imagination buddy.”
I walked over to the cabinets, strolling over to the very last one, which had a teeny tiny label saying first-aid. Opening the cabinet I found a stash of different medicine amongst which there was a packet of ibuprofen.
I popped out two of them and held them in my hand while I heard Mason filling water from the faucet.
I put back the lid on the box and shut the cabinet, handing over the medicine to Mason who without any delay gulped both of them down.
“Should I make you some toast and milk?” I asked.
“You know it” he turned around and tossed himself on the counter.
