An Analogous Universe

Chapter 17

"RIE!AERA!" Jin yelled.

He quickly caught up with us as he checked us for any injuries, head to toe. I don't think it would be very pleasing to him if any of us got injured. Well, i would report him. 

"Are you two hurt anywhere?" He asked with a worried yet relived demeanor.

"No-"I tried to speak but was cut off by none other than the bickering queen, Rie.

"Yes. My head hurts because of him." Rie said, pointing at James while messaging her head dramatically. 

As Jin looked at him, his expression changed. It turned into a protective one. Well, of course. He is my eldest cousin, he would kill James if he flirted with us, as I may know. 

"Hello! James." He said with a not-so-pleasing manner.

"Hey, Jin! Long time no see!" he stated friendly as he rapidly waved at him with his devilish grin that spread along his whole face, eating up his cheeks as it only grew wider.

"Uhum!"Jin said as he motioned for James to come closer. The lad did as the elder told him.

"Stay away from my sisters." He whispered with ultimate true threat but I accidentally heard it. Its good to have a protective brother. But not too protective as per as I have heard.

"We'll see about that." James replied smirking as if he accepted a challenge he knows he will win. Uh, I don't think so.

"Let's go girls." Jin said as he started to drag Rie away. And I am left alone.

"Nice to meet you, James. See you!" I yelled with a smile and started to run off to catch up with the elder's paces.

"SEE YOU!" he yelled back as he waved rapidly with the same energy he had before. Jin's threat doesn't seem to affect him at all.

"Nice to meet you? See you?" Rie spat with disgust, her face revealing the same. She spilled off her imaginary vomit as if it has been stuck onto her throat for a long time.

"This is called manners." I said sternly.

"Manners, my ass!" Jin and Rie said together.

"Oh my god! You agree with me." Rie said to Jin.

"Why wouldn't I? I wouldn't want my precious sisters to get caught in a trap of the philanderer of the area." He said as a matter of factly.

"Where are the others?" I said, changing the topic.

"They are on the end of the road, waiting for us. Yoongi, Taehyung and Jimin went on other routes to find you." He said, his hands gesturing the ways.

"Oh god! The lazy ass went on searching? Doesn't that include wandering?" Rie asked with slight sarcasm in her tone.

"He was the most pissed out of all. I am nice, so I won't scold you. The others will, especially him." Jin said, widening his eyes at the end as if to scare us if I am not wrong.

"Oh, I am scared." Rie said in a cold tone with whatsoever no emotions.

"Do you hate him?" Jin asked softly.

"Nah." Rie said, shrugging her shoulders as her face still didn't show any emotions.

"By the way, lazy ass? Good name for him." Jin said, chuckling.

"Yeah, I know I am cool." She said smiling.

"Ignorant brat." Jin said.

"HUH?!?" she scoffed.

"That's what he calls you. It's even now." He said, gesturing with his hands.

"I am not ignoring him!" she said with slight anger.
