I was again sitting on the soft green grass with the cold and breezy wind flowing in it's own way. But this time, I didn't run like I did before, I didn't panic like I did before but instead, I was waiting for the familiar yet unknown woman.
I kept staring at the view in front of me, amazed by how calm and peaceful it was. It looked exactly how I wanted a place to look like. But even I didn't want to, eventually, my eyes wandered upon dark sides. Where the trees were dead and the sun refused to lay it's rays on. I wonder if anyone stays there.
"That's the place where the sinners reside" A female voice said from behind me.
I jumped up at the sudden voice as I looked behind only to be met with the person I have been waiting for.
"Sorry to scare you, Aera." She said as she sat beside me, resting her back on the tree and heaving out a deep breath.
"Did I leave you waiting here for too long?" She said while looking at me. Her eyes somehow looked dead but lively. Her skin was pale as it was before. She didn't seem to be like how we are. She seems ............. unnatural.
I shook my head at her on a denying manner. She huffed in relief.
"Did you figure it out?" she asked me.
Figure what out?
"No." I apologetically said.
"Okay. You're unbearably silent today." She said disappointingly.
"I don't know." I whispered.
"I never caught your name." I said lowly.
"Let's begin today's story." She said, completely avoiding my statement as she looked ahead, staring at the deep horizons and admiring it as well as me.
I decided not to bug her about it.
"So, as you may know, you're mother had a disabled hand." She started shortly. I nodded at her.
"My si- no, Rowena used to write for her from when she first entered the castle. She was just as happy as we were because of King Hedrick's win on Atlantis. It went like that for about ten to fifteen years but it didn't last longer. She used to get some dreams which stated the return of one of them. We were all very much terrified because if they come back, there would be red sirens everywhere. We knew they wouldn't stand a chance against us and one of them, would be a piece of cake. But the Queen was the main issue. They would target for her first. Hence, the King decided to go to earth to keep her safe and gave authority to the trustful general." She paused, sighing at the end.
"That's something I kind of knew." I said to her.
"You did?" She asked, surprised.
"Yes, but not all. I only knew about the dream part." I said to her, looking up as i restored my memory of the diary.
"The Diary?" She asked me. I nodded.
"That's a relief. We're another step ahead." She said as she smiled in relief.
"how many steps are there?" I asked. She chuckled.
"How many steps? You really haven't figured out yet huh?" She asked me. I stared blankly at her.
"Okay, let me tell you."
"These are not exactly steps. I am here to help you, let you know what you don't. And as I am seeing, you already know a lot. Which makes it easy for me because you are a step ahead than me." She said smiling.
