Her Summer After The Rain

I stood at the backstage while watching him on the small monitor we have inside the room. I didn't feel the need to go out because I have heard and seen him more than three thousand times now singing that song. We've toured twenty countries so far and this is our last stop. I asked him to give me a long vacation after this and he agreed after I assured him that the one who would replace me for the meantime is trustworthy.

He said yes only if I would get to see who I wanted to see while we were here. Said he didn't want me moping around on my own after doing what I need to do.

We shot my video long ago, even before we started our planet tour, that's how he called it. But he never showed that video on the previous ones. Somehow, I wanted to cry seeing myself on that vid he played before his audience. He really knew how much it mattered. He wasn't done with his song when someone took my attention.

"Tanya, someone's trying to get in. Said he wants to talk to you," Charlotte said, one of the stage managers. "He was stopped by our bouncers."

"Do you know who?" she wondered.

"No. Sorry. Just see him and keep some distance," she said before leaving. I patted the shoulders of Brent, one of the directors, before I tried to go out of the room.

"Tanya," Brent called me. "It might be that guy."

I laughed and shook my head. "I hope," I told him. "But I don't think so. His initials are JT but he doesn't love our JT."

"You've been married for the longest time you've been with us. You know what you gotta do and you know what I mean," he winked. "I love you Tanya."

I smiled at him. "I love you too Brent. You've always been awesome," I told him and left the room completely.

I was about to go inside the backstage but the guy stopped me with his arm. I knew it wouldn't be easy but if I could just explain it to them really quick then they might understand why I need to see her.

"You can't go in."

"I need to talk to Tanya Rodriguez. I need to see her please," I told him calmly.

"No one's allowed to disturb them when a concert is ongoing. If you got her number, call her and see her after but no, you can't go inside."

"This is important man! I've been waiting for her for such a long time now and you have to let me in!" I insisted.

He didn't say anything but positioned himself in the middle of the door, blocking any possible way for me to get in. He is a whole lot bigger than me and I'm no match to him. I struggled only to be pushed away.

"TANYA!" I rather screamed. If he wouldn't allow me to get in, I would make her go out. The bouncer got pissed off and he called another guy to scare me out of the backstage.

"Listen guys... I told you, I just really want to see her. I wouldn't get in but just tell her that I'm here," I told them. I was still explaining when a woman walked up to check what was going on.

"What's this about?" she asked.

"He's trying to get in," the guy answered.

"No outsider is allowed at the backstage," she strictly told me and was about to leave but I explained myself.

"I know I can't go in. I just want to see Tanya please," I told her. I know I sounded tired explaining to them my situation. "I'll wait for her if I have to. I just really need somebody to tell her that I'm here. That video you played? I'm that guy. Let her know. We both have waited long enough. Just let her know."
