Keeping Up

'Selena'

Justin's POV

"How hard is it to put up all these tables?!" I angrily shouted at the two men working.

"You sound like an old lady dude, stop." Chaz spoke up.

We were currently setting up for Selena's surprise party that was tomorrow but I've been frustrated because I didn't know it would be this hard.

"I'm sorry." I sighed as I grabbed the banner and helped Ryan put it up.

"Dad, stop freaking out. Everything's gonna be fine." Kendall shrugged and helped me and Ryan with the banner.

"Is everything ready?" I looked at the room and everything seemed ready and set.

The room was in a hotel that I rented. It fit about 500 people and the windows had the night view of Los Angeles which was perfect.

"Go home man. We'll make sure everything's set for tomorrow and you bring Selena here at 8." Ryan said and I nodded.

"Where'd you guys go?" Selena asked me and Kendall as we walked through the door.

"I took Kendall to the studio to finish recording my song." I lied and Selena nodded.

Wow. She actually believed me.

"Okay. Mason went to sleep and I'm going too. Night." Selena yawned and walked upstairs.

"Step 1, complete." Kendall and I high fived and I walked upstairs and found Selena already under the covers.

"Tired already?" I asked as I changed in my sweats and got under the covers with Selena.

"Yeah. Are you?"

"Yep. Night babe." I scooted her next to me and she cuddled in my chest.

"Night Justin."

"Happy Birthday!" I shouted in Selena's face and she woke up right away.

"Justin.. what time is it." Selena groaned and turned away.

"Who cares? It's your birthday." I laid on top of her and she started hitting my chest.

"Your fat."

"Ha ha. Sure." I smirked and kissed her lips lightly.

"This is so disgusting." We heard Kendall say from behind us so me and Selena stood up.

"Did you knock?" I asked.

"The door was open." She said. "Anyways, happy birthday mom."

"Thanks Ken." Selena smiled and hugged Kendall.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!" Mason came in yelling and jumped on top of Selena.

"Oh my god, thanks Mason." Selena laughed and Mason and her stood up.

"So we're taking you out to dinner at 8. You have all this time to get ready and we'll leave you alone. When it's 8, I'm coming and getting you." I told Selena.

"Wow, a day to myself. What did I ever do to deserve this?" Selena laughed and I shook my head.

"We'll be back at 8." I re-told Selena and we all left the room.

It was around 7:45 so I ran upstairs to make sure Selena was dressed and ready for the surprise party.
