chapter 10 - getting used to

~Johnny's POV~
K: i didn't like seeing you like that. i was scared i was going to lose you
i grabbed her hand and i held it and she didn't flinch. i was a little shocked but then i came back to reality.
J: you're never gonna lose me
she smiled and hugged me. i hugged her back and didn't let go of her and she didn't let go of me. I'm guessing she was getting used to me. after a minute we pulled away from our hug and we were a few inches apart. i was looking into her eyes and she was looking into mine. i leaned in and so did she and then Lauren walked in. me and Kenzie pulled away from each other as fast as we could.
L: uh hey guys. i just came here to tell Kenzie that her mom called and said she could stay the night. do you want to Kenzie?
Kenzie nodded. she stopped talking. i understood why she had stopped talking. her voice was extremely hoarse.
J: but Lauren where is she supposed to sleep. there's no more rooms at our house and it's barely any room for her to sleep with you
L: Johnny you're an idiot
J: what?
L: you're not getting out of the hospital yet so Kenzie's mom said Kenzie could stay the night here
J: oh is that okay with you Kenzie?
she nodded and smiled at me and i smiled back at her.
L: so I'll see you later lovebirds
Lauren left the room and i was red and so was Kenzie. we sat in silence for a few minutes until i broke it.
J: Kenzie can i talk to you about something?
she looked at me and nodded and i took a deep breath
J: i...
what will Johnny talk to Kenzie about?
