~Johnny's POV~
J: you know i love you right?
she smiled and laughed
K: you've said many times so yes i know
J: okay good so you won't hate me for this right?
K: hate you for what?
i held both of her hands and took a deep breath
K: Johnny...you're scaring me
J: you go to court to testify against your stepdad in two days
K: w-what?
J: Kenzie you have to. you're so much stronger now and i know you can do this. he's put you through enough
she took a deep breath and squeezed my hands
K: I'll do it
i smiled and hugged her and she hugged me back
-two days later-
i woke up. today was the day Kenzie goes to court and testifies against her stepdad. these past two days a lawyer has been coming and talking to Kenzie about what will happen today in court. i got up and got ready then walked into the guest room and Kenzie was in the bathroom and then she walked out the bathroom and looked at me
J: hello princess
K: hey
she said nervously and i hugged her and said softly
J: you're gonna do amazing today
she smiled and then i held out my hand and she smiled and held it and we walked out the house and into the car and my mom started driving
-at court-
~Kenzie's POV~
JU: will Mackenzie Ziegler please come to the stand?
i slowly got up and walked to the stand
JU: can you tell us everything your stepdad has done to you?
K: he's...he has abused me and raped me. it all started when i was three. I'm sure you've seen all the proof you've needed
JU: yes now i will go over the evidence
i nodded and the lawyer handed the judge the evidence and and she looked over it
JU: Mr.Ziegler, you are pronounced guilty and hereby sentenced to ten years in prison
she hit her gavel and i smiled and started crying and the police put my stepdad in handcuffs and they left the courtroom and i left the stand and i saw Johnny standing there smiling at me and i ran over to Johnny and jumped into his arms and hugged me and then he slowly put me down and gently kissed my forehead and said softly to me
J: I'm proud of you princess. i knew you could do it
i smiled and wiped away my tears
J: ready to go home?
K: yeah
~Johnny's POV~
we got in the car and went home and walked inside and we all sat down on the couch in the living room talking
J: so Kenzie
K: yeah?
J: i...
