~Kenzie's POV~
our faces were inches apart and i was looking into his eyes and he was looking into mines and then the next thing i knew he was leaning in and so was i. oh no i was letting him get too close. i cant let this happen. i turned my head and he ended up kissing my cheek. i looked at the expression on his face and he looked really hurt. it's not that i didn't want to kiss him i just couldn't. i can't let him get close like...nevermind he just can't get close to me. i was interrupted by his voice
J: Kenzie
he said softly and i looked at him
J: do you not want to kiss me?
i cleared my throat to see if my voice was still hoarse and it wasn't and then i said softly to him
K: of course i do it's just-
J: you're not ready. i understand
K: thank you John
i softly kissed his cheek and he smiled and gently placed his hand on my cheek and caressed it and i slowly closed my eyes because it was very calming
J: I'll always be here waiting for you no matter how long it takes
he said softly to me and i smiled and he gently kissed my forehead. wow i think i love him. wait no Kenzie stop it. you can't love anyone. you can't.
J: hey kenz?
i looked at him
J: i-i...
i looked at him confused waiting for him to say something
J: i-i...
