~Johnny's POV~
i saw Kenzie laying on the ground and there was blood everywhere and a lot of bruises on her. i then saw her stepdad getting into a car. i was confused, i thought he was in jail and then i remembered Kenzie denying to testify which is why he got to get out of jail but now she really needs to testify. i rushed over to her and i kneeled down beside her and said softly
J: Kenzie? are you okay?
K: y-yeah
J: did he do this to you?
she nodded and i sighed
J: I'm going to pick you up and carry you back to my house okay?
she nodded and i gently picked her up and started walking to my house. i didn't really care about the blood. all i cared about was getting her safe. she laid her head on my chest and closed her eyes and her mom and Maddie followed me. we got to my house and walked inside
M: John what happened?
J: can you get a towel and put it on the couch please
she nodded and went to go get a towel
J: Lauren i need you to go get the first aid kit
she nodded and went to go get the first aid kit
J: Melissa and Maddie i need you to go get Kenzie some new clothes for her to wear
i was taking control of everything while panicking. I'm really worried about Kenzie and then my thoughts were interrupted by Melissa's voice
Mel: where's her suitcase?
J: i put it in my room
MA: where's your room?
J: down the hall to the left
Melissa and Maddie walked to my room and mom came back with the towel and put it over the couch and i laid Kenzie down gently on the couch
K: J-Johnny
i stroked her hair gently and said softly
J: shh calm down, everything is going to be okay
K: b-but Johnny
i stroked her cheek gently and i kissed her softly
J: shh Kenzie i need you to calm down okay, everything is going to be okay but i need you to calm down
she closed her eyes and took deep breaths and i was watching her and smiling and then my name was being called
MA: John come here!
J: I'll be back Kenzie, mom can you watch her please?
she nodded and i walked down the hall into my room and saw Maddie and Melissa pacing around my room
J: is everything okay?
Mel: i...
what will Melissa say?
(I'm in school and I've been working on one chapter for days haha i kept falling asleep trying to write a chapter but finally finished it and i promise I'll be active soon because school ends in 8 days)
