chapter 42 - the game

~Johnny's POV~
i quickly opened my eyes and Kenzie wasn't on my lap anymore so i quickly got up. crap this is not good. i looked all in the living room and she wasn't there and i looked in the kitchen and then the dining room and then i started looking in the rooms. i went down the hallway and looked in every single room except mines. why was the door closed. that's so weird. i never shut my door when I'm not in my room. i quickly opened the door and Kenzie and and Lauren and Carson were sitting on the floor laughing. i sighed a breath of relief and then they all looked at me and i rushed over to Kenzie
J: thank god you're okay. i almost had a heart attack
she stood up
K: I'm fine Johnny
J: wait you're talking again now
K: oh well Lauren got me some hot tea that helps with your voice so now it's not hoarse anymore
L: yeah we've been in here helping Kenzie. she had some pretty bad grammar that i had to fix
C: I'm surprised she did all of that in an hour
L: what can i say? i am a genius
Carson and Lauren laughed
K: i still don't know how to say a few things. it's really complication
L: complicated Kenzie
K: right complicated. sorry I'm still learning
L: it's okay Kenzie. anyways John we were waiting for you to wake up so we could play the game
J: what game?
L: truth or dare
J: oh right that game
C: you okay dude?
J: yeah I'm fine. just shocked and proud of this one right here
i gently tapped Kenzie on her nose and she laughed and smiled. wow she's adorable. how is it possible I've fallen for this girl so much already? Kenzie sat back down and i shut the door then i sat down beside her and we were all in a circle
L: okay so who's going first?
J: wait shouldn't we tell Kenzie how to play?
L: oh i told her already
K: I'm okay with playing as long i don't have to be forced to do anything. did that make sense?
L: yes Kenzie it did. your grammar is getting so much better already
Kenzie smiled at Lauren and Lauren smiled back at her. i can already tell Kenzie and Lauren will become good friends.
C: okay so how are we deciding on who's going first?
L: i have an idea
C: what's your idea?
L: i...
what is Lauren's idea?
