L: i was wondering if i could give you your birthday present. i think you'll really like it
J: i don't want a stupid birthday present so take it back
L: are you sure? not even this birthday present
i was so confused as to what Lauren was talking about then Kenzie slowly walked in the room and when i saw her i immediately got up and smiled at her
J: K-Kenzie?
K: surprise
J: h-how is this possible? Lauren i thought you said that-
L: it was a lie. it was part of the plan to surprise you. it was all Kenzie's idea
J: Kenzie i am so sorry for yelling at you earlier
K: it's okay John
she smiled and i ran over to her and hugged her tightly and she hugged me back and i didn't let go of her
L: I'll leave you two alone now
J: thank you Lauren
L: no problem bro. happy birthday
she smiled and walked out the room and i was still hugging Kenzie and i looked down at her
J: i missed you so much. i was so worried about you
K: sorry for worrying you
J: it's okay and you look beautiful by the way
she smiled and laid her head on my my chest
K: John?
J: yeah?
K: can we stay like this for a bit? i like it
J: of course
i smiled and gently kissed her forehead and laid my head on hers
K: happy birthday John
J: thank you Kenzie. for everything
i slowly lifted my head off of hers and she lifted her head off my chest and i looked into her eyes and she was looking into mines
K: i got you a birthday present
J: you didn't have to
K: i wanted to
J: no whatever you got me take it back
K: but this birthday present is special
J: what is it?
K: i...
what will Kenzie say?
