chapter 41 - loss of sleep

~Johnny's POV~
J: i...i can't explain to you guys right now but just stop talking okay
L: sorry
Lauren and Carson sat down on the couch and watched me run my fingers through Kenzie's hair and rock her back and forth like a baby
C: does this happen to her all the time?
Carson whispered to me and i whispered back to him
J: only when she freaks out about something and starts panicking
C: what was she freaking out about?
J: i don't know. we were just talking about truth or dare
C: maybe ask her when she wakes up or whatever's happening to her
-a few minutes later-
L: I'm bored
J: Lauren seriously not the time
L: sorry but she's been like that for hours
J: Lauren's it's only been five minutes
L: well it feels like hours
J: well why don't you and Carson go do something together
Lauren looked at Carson
L: wanna hang out?
C: yeah sure why not
Carson got up and then he held his hand out to Lauren to help her up and Lauren grabbed his hand and got up
J: aw you two are cute
L: oh shush it we don't like each other
C: yeah bro shush
J: if that's not true then why are you two holding hands?
Lauren and Carson both look down at their hands together and quickly pull them away
C: i just uh forgot to pull my hand away
L: yeah uh me too
C: let's go Lauren
i laughed and Lauren and Carson left the living room and then i laid my head back trying not to fall asleep. i haven't really been able to sleep since i found out about what happened to Kenzie. i would be up all night just thinking about it and then i would doze off but i would end up waking up again. I'm so tired but i couldn't fall asleep with Kenzie like this but my eyes were closing and i could feel sleep overtake me
-an hour later-
i woke up but my eyes were still closed. wow i actually got some decent sleep. wait crap i fell asleep. i quickly opened my eyes and...
what will happen next?
(sorry i haven't been active in three days. my mom got out of the hospital now so i think I'll try my best to do a chapter spam now)
