chapter 44 - jealous

~Johnny's POV~
J: nothing it's just this is really boring
L: well we had to teach her Johnny
J: okay but you don't need to explain every little detail
L: I'm just making sure she knows. what's your problem?
J: well look it's not my fault that Kenzie had no life growing up!
oh god what did i just say. i looked over at Kenzie and she was looking at me as tears formed in her eyes. after a few seconds of looking at me she looked down and ran out the room. i sighed and got up and followed her but before i made it out the room she was nowhere to be found. the door was wide open and she was gone. what have i done. I've messed up really bad but she needs to understand it's not safe for her out there anymore. she hasn't testified and her stepdad is out there loose ready to find her and be able to hurt her again. her mom and sister are gone already so they can't protect her. oh god i need to find her and i need to find her quickly. i rushed out the door and started looking up and down the street and she was nowhere. i swear if anything has happened to her then I'm never going to forgive myself. why did i have to say that? why did i have to be so jealous. i just shook my head out of my thoughts and started shouting Kenzie's name hoping i would find her
~Kenzie's POV~
i ran out the door so fast. faster than I've ever ran before. not even thinking about what could happen to me at any moment. i heard someone shouting my name. it sounded like Johnny so i ran faster. i figured i could be home alone since mom and Maddie are gone now and no one would bother me. i ran to the house and the door was already unlocked. that's so weird. why would mom leave the door unlocked? i assumed that maybe she forgot to lock it and i walked inside and shut the door behind me and the second i turned around i saw...
