chapter 59 - getting ready

~Johnny's POV~
i opened the door and saw my parents and my sisters standing at the door. my mom had a cake in her hand and then they all started singing happy birthday. normally i would've been happy but i don't have Kenzie with me. she's my happiness. i need her with me. i just waited for them to finish singing
M: make a wish birthday boy
i smiled a bit and closed my eyes and blew out the candles. you should know what i wished for
J: okay okay now get out i want to be alone
M: but sweetie it's your birthday
J: yeah and the one person i want to be here for my birthday isn't so i don't want a birthday anymore!
i slammed the door on their faces and flopped down on my bed and sighed
~Lauren's POV~
Johnny is really upset. just a few more hours until his surprise. speaking of that i should go check on Kenzie. i walked into the guest room and shut the door behind me and Kenzie looked at me and smiled
L: hey kenz
K: hey lolo
her voice was hoarse. i could tell
L: I'll be back. I'm gonna go make you some more tea
K: no i still have some
she picked up a cup and started drinking it
L: well i think Johnny would enjoy his surprise now because he's desperate
she laughed and smiled
K: so we're going to surprise him now?
L: yeah before he dies of sadness
we both laughed this time and we both walked out the room and she said quietly
K: what's the plan?
L: first we need to get you dressed up. let's go to my room
she looked at me nervously
L: don't worry you don't have to be scared Kenzie
she nodded slowly and we walked to my room and i did her hair and makeup and then i let her wear one of my dresses. it was a simple dress and i had her hair curled. John is going to be so happy
L: and you're ready
she looked into the mirror and smiled
K: wow i look...i look-
L: beautiful
she smiled at me
K: thanks lolo
L: now let's go
~Johnny's POV~
i was just laying on my bed staring at the ceiling until i heard a knock on my door and i groaned
J: go away!
L: it's Lauren. can i come in?
J: no!
L: okay I'm coming in anyway
i rolled my eyes and sat up as the door opened
J: what do you want Lauren?
L: i...
what will Lauren say?
(sorry i didn't post for two days. and it's pretty obvious what Lauren is going to say but i wanted to end it here haha)
