~Johnny's POV~
Mel: well me and Maddie are going out of town cause Maddie has this audition and Kenzie never likes coming so she was supposed to originally stay with her stepdad but now that we know what he has done to her i want to know if i can trust you guys enough to let her stay with you while we're out of town
M: of course we will Melissa
i smiled so big. yes Kenzie will be staying with me...i mean us. god I'm falling for that girl and she doesn't even know
L: earth to Johnny?
Lauren was waving her hand in my face and i realized i was staring into space and smiling lots
J: huh?
L: thinking about Kenzie?
i blushed
J: no...shush it
Mel: wait Johnny you like my daughter?
J: well i...i uh...
Mel: it's okay i think you two could make a cute couple
J: it's just Kenzie doesn't feel the same way. she's told me it's hard for her to date or really trust anyone because of what her stepdad has done to her
Mel: my poor baby. i wish I've known about this sooner. me and Maddie just thought he may have yelled at her and it just scarred her for the rest of her life.
J: what do you mean the rest of her life?
Mel: she's been this way since she was three
J: he...he's been abusing her since she was three?
Melissa sighed
Mel: I'm guessing so
J: that's not right at all
L: oh i feel awful for Kenzie
M: I'm just glad Johnny was being smart in the hospital
Mel: where is he now? i want to make sure he's far away from my daughter
J: don't worry he's locked up but i don't know for how long cause Kenzie has to testify but she keeps saying she won't
Mel: why won't she?
J: she says no matter what happens he's still going to hurt her
Mel: well I'll get a restraining order if i have to
J: I'm just glad all of this is finally over. i can't even imagine how much and how long she's been through this
Mel: i wish i would've known sooner
J: yeah but-
i was interrupted by a knock on the door. Lauren went over and opened the door and we all saw...
who was at the door?
