~Johnny's POV~
i turned around and i saw Hayden. my best friend since day one. i walked over to him and gave him a bro hug.
J: wassup bro
H: hey have you seen the new girl?
J: Kenzie?
H: yeah. she's cute
J: uh yeah i guess
H: you okay bro?
J: yeah it's just...i don't know nevermind bro. let's get to class
me and Hayden walked to class. i walked into the classroom and i saw Kenzie sitting in the very back and i decided to go sit in the back next to her.
J: hey Kenzie
she looked at me and i knew she wasn't going to say anything but she took a notebook out and a pencil and wrote 'hey Johnny' i read it and smiled at her.
J: you know it's okay if you want to talk to me this way
she looked at me for a second and then she smiled at me until the teacher called her name for her to come up and introduce herself. she grabbed her notebook and pencil and slowly walked up to the front.
Teacher= (T)
T: class this is Mackenzie Ziegler and she's new here. is there anything you would like to let us know about you Mackenzie?
~Kenzie's POV~
i wrote down 'my name is Mackenzie but you can call me Kenzie. i use this to talk because i don't talk. i write down what i need to say'
T: oh well you guys can call her Kenzie and she doesn't talk so writes down what she needs to say
Student= (S)
S: why don't you talk?
i don't say anything.
S: did you lose your voice?
i still don't say anything.
~Johnny's POV~
S: or are you just a freak?
when he asked her the first two questions i knew she wasn't going to answer but when he called her a freak i just got mad and i stood up and hit my hands on the table.
J: hey stop it!
everyone turned around and looked at me. Kenzie walked back to her seat and sat down and looked at me. i sat down slowly and my face turned red. i was so embarrassed now.
T: alright class settle down
an hour later the teacher told us we could have free time so i walked over to Hayden and the rest of my friends and we started talking.
Brandon= (B)
B: Johnny bro you went off
J: sorry i just got mad. he was being really rude to her
H: i have the best idea ever
J: what?
H: you still a player?
J: you know i am bro
i hit him playfully and we both laugh.
H: well I'm gonna bet you something
J: what is it?
H: i bet that you can't date the new girl
J: who Kenzie?
H: yeah
B: bro i bet he can
H: so what do you say. is it a bet?
J: i...
