(A/N- So obviously my timeline with the year and what is going on is a bit off. I'll be sure to move forward with the actual timeline of what they were doing around Meteora with touring and such from here on. Obviously its a work of fiction so things can be off. For now, let's just say they were working on arrangements and shit for future music since we know they were always creating stuff. Thanks for reading!)

Mike clicked around on the computer in the studio of his home as the others talked in the background.  He faintly heard what they were saying as he tried to arrange what they had done this week in a manner that he was happy with.  It was well into Friday night and a complete week since Mila said she needed to think things over.  He hadn't known fully prior to this past week just how much of a hold she had on him until he was left waiting for her decision.  It was something that made him suddenly wish for a punch in face than the potential of a hit to the heart.  Mike knew what he felt for her and he also know what he had done to her; he treated her like shit...like she was disposable when he knew she was anything but.  In the end, he did not blame her if she didn't want to be with him again, he wasn't sure if he would want to either.

A ringing sound echoed off the walls of the home as sounds of excitement came from around him.  Talk of how the food they had ordered was finally here and how hungry they were as they all but him filed through the door to the studio towards the front door.  He stayed where he was not really feeling hungry now as his mind went from the music to her.  The nausea that he's been feeling all week was back and food was the last thing he wanted to be around.

"Uh, Mike?" Brad's voice sounded into the room causing him to turn around.  "Mila is downstairs."

"She is?" Mike asked surprised looking at the time in the lower right hand corner of his laptop.  11:23 pm.  He was surprised she was coming by this late but regardless he was happy to finally know where they stand.  Following Brad down the stairs, he heard her voice talking to the others laughing when Dave told a joke.

"There he is!" Chester smiled looking at him getting a weak one in return.  Chester patted his back as he walked by knowing that the woman that had come to the house was the woman Mike had been waiting to hear from.

"Hey," Mila said giving him a small smile which he returned almost effortlessly.  "I'm sorry it's late and you're obviously busy.  I probably should have called first."

Mike shook his head.  "It's fine.  You know you're welcome here no matter what the hour or who is here."

"Can we?" Mila nodded pointing gingerly at the front door.  Holding his hand out, he let her walk out first making sure to close the door behind them.  As they walked towards the driveway of his home that was currently packed to the brim with cars, he felt his hands begin to shake which resulted in him putting them in the front pockets of his jeans.  "So, busy Friday night of making music?"

"Yeah, we had some songs we began earlier this week and we are trying to finish them," Mike replied earning a nod of understanding.  Looking her over he noticed she looked nervous, beautiful, but nervous.  Her brunette hair which sat just an inch below her shoulders had a slight curl to it, she had no makeup on and the light of the streetlights were making her grey eyes just a bit darker than normal.  She didn't wear anything fancy, just a pair of jeans with a hoodie and sneakers but to him she looked perfect.

"I won't keep you long," She told him as he watched her play with her fingers, something she often did when she was nervous or unsure.  "I told you I would let you know when I thought everything through." He nodded looking into her eyes silently.  "I've given it a lot of thought.  I've literally weighed all the pros and cons, thought about my concerns and talked them through with my mom and the guys, I've written lists and just about drove myself insane this past week." Mike felt his heart drop into his stomach feeling like she was going to say she couldn't do it and just wanted to be friends.  Mila watched as his shoulders drop as she gave him a small smile.  "All the lists, talks...what have you brought me back to the same realization.  Mike, I have had feelings for you since the moment we met and then we got together and I fell in love with you.  That love never left and  my feelings for you have never changed.  I want to be with you again.  I want to be in your life as more than a friend." She watched a wide, beautiful smile stretch across his lips.  "On one condition."

"Okay, What is it?"

"We take things slow.  I trust you but I'll be honest the idea of a relationship is still a bit scary for me so I want to wait a little bit before we put a title on things," Mila told him as he nodded understanding.  He still had to show her that he wasn't going to let her go and give up like he had.  It was then that he made a note to always make her a priority, their relationship, a priority in his life even if it was hard.  "Can we hug or something because my nerves are through the roof."

Mike laughed taking his hands out of his pockets pulling her to him holding her close.  He placed his lips to the top of her head closing his eyes as a feeling of calm take over him.  Mila moved her head from where it was on his chest and looked up at him giving him a small smile.  She watched as his eyes moved between hers and her lips eliciting her to move onto the balls of her feet pressing her lips to his in a brief kiss that he wished would have lasted longer.  She wanted to go slow though and therefore he would let her take the lead for a while to show him what she's okay with.

A pair of new headlights shined on them causing them to look in that direction.  Mike directed the delivery guy to the house faintly hearing cheers coming from that direction.  "Are you hungry?"

Mila smiled nodding.  "I barely ate anything all week."

Taking her hand in his entwining their fingers, they began walking towards the front door passing the delivery man on the way.  "I know that feeling.  I got a pizza that I'll gladly share with you."

"And they say chivalry is dead."
