"You're kidding me. Like you have to be fucking with me. This has to be a very belated April Fool's joke. So belated it's taking place in the middle of May."

Mike looked towards his right at the woman beside him whose eyes were wide. He chuckled shaking his head pushing the directional on the left hand side of the steering wheel up to let others know he was taking a right turn while his right hand continued to hold hers.

"Why would I kid about this? This is what I've been working on for the past month. MTV went to him asking who he would want to do a mashup with and he said us. I've done three different mashups and he was impressed. We are meeting with him in July to go over everything in the studio before the show."

"But Jay-Z, the Jay-Z. He was asked who he wanted to do a mashup with and he said 'Linkin Park'. How are you not freaking the fuck out?" Mila asked him raising her free hand excitedly.

"Oh I definitely did when it was first brought to us. I'm sure when we are in the studio I'll be internally freaking out," Mike laughed.

"Wow," She breathed. "This is huge, Handsome. Like this is practically a dream of yours." Mike nodded smiling and she could see his excitement. "I'm so proud of you. I really am."

"Thanks, baby."

"And you sprung this on me the same day we're going to check out a potential home for us and watching Quinn together for the first time. How much excitement can one girl take?"

"Guess we'll find out," Mike replied bringing her hand to his lips kissing the back of her hand as they pulled up to the house.

Stepping out of the car, Mila took in the house that they were there to look at. It was one that Linsey had found for them that was in the price range they both agreed to. Mila was set in her ways that if they were going to live together she wanted to be able to at least contribute something towards the mortgage and being that she didn't make as much as he did, they decided to stay somewhat modest. Mike, however, was okay with the idea of him paying for the mortgage while she just helped with bills and household items. But Mila wore him down with the help of Linsey.

The house looked good from the outside. It had a nice front yard with grass and a garage. Not much landscaping or flowers were outside but not everyone was into that. Linsey met them outside the house with a smile. She reviewed how many bedrooms it had due to the fact that Mike insisted there be four so he can have his studio room and Mila can have an office or a room to herself along with a guest room for visitors. The price was below their price limit which made Mila happy. Walking into the home, Mila held in a small groan. She wouldn't say she was picky, because she really wasn't, but she didn't like carpet on the ground floor. From her experience it got dirty too quickly and sometimes, like now, looked tacky. The walls and crown molding were very white and the carpet was tan. The living room was a good size and in order to get into it you had to go down some stairs which didn't bother her. The cabinets in the kitchen were severely outdated giving her vibes of the late 80's and there wasn't much counter space for when she would be cooking. The backyard was big, which was nice and something she enjoyed. She was a fan of drinking her morning coffee or at times dinner in the backyard.

The couple made their way upstairs seeing the master bedroom which had been renovated to have a nice, plush carpet while the bathroom had tile with a marble countertop. There were his and hers sinks which Mike liked so they didn't have to share one space. Going into the other bedrooms, the couple noticed that they were on the small side and the only one that could potentially work for a studio was the one right next to the master bedroom. It was then that Mike knew this house wasn't it. He knew how loud they were at times when messing around in the studio and the last thing he wanted was to keep her up when they went late into the night slash early morning.
