It's all about reality and making some noise making the story

There were certain tasks that had to be done for their wedding that Mila knew Mike couldn't see ahead of time.  So when it came time for her to have her hair and makeup trial, she knew that it had to be done on a day that he would be gone at the studio.  Thankfully, due to Cata's wedding happening within the past year, Mila had a competent hair and makeup team that she had learned to trust.  Sandilyn, Sandi, a woman only a couple of years older than Mila, was the leader of the hair and makeup team who had done Cata's and her bridal party.  The team was laid back, fun and very sassy if around the right people.  Mila knew right away that she wanted them to be the team for her and her wedding party the moment Michelle had told her to look into it.

Sandi was surprisingly available on the date of their wedding, just another sigh of relief for Mila concerning the wedding and another checkbox marked off in the list of things that needed confirmation.

"Hi Mila," Sandi smiled greeting her with a kiss on the cheek and a hug.  "Congratulations on your engagement! I knew Mike was done for the moment I saw you guys together."

"Thank you," Mila smiled showing her the ring when the woman pointed to it.  Sandi commented on how beautiful it was and that the stone was brought out that much more due to her skin tone.  She honestly hadn't thought about that, but after it was mentioned she had to admit that Sandi was right.

"So come to my chair and we can talk about what you see for the wedding," Sandi told her leading her to a private area of the salon that she was located in.  The salon had a very chic and hip vibe to it.  The walls were a teal color and had different types of art that they usually went to art shows to find.  "So I remember you being the more modest bridesmaid at Cata's wedding.  So what do you want to do to your hair?"

"Well, my dress is an off the shoulder dress and I would like to keep at least some of my hair down.  It's an outdoor ceremony and reception so maybe have the hair around my face held back so I don't have to worry about it being in my face," Mila said earning a nod from the woman in front of her.

"I agree that some of it held back would be a good decision," Sandi replied continuing to nod.  "For the texture, do you want tight curls, loose, soft?"

"I liked the curls that was done in my hair for Cata's wedding."

"Okay, so soft curls.  Got it.  Now with your makeup, what do you envision?" Sandi asked her taking out a curling iron, bobby pins and a couple of brushes.

"I want a natural type of look where the eyes, mostly the lashes are a big dramatic.  I don't want to have the sultry look like I did as a bridesmaid.  I see a more romantic, natural look,"  Mila commented getting a smile from Sandi.

"I think this is going to be a beautiful look for you.  Make sure you tell me if anything I do isn't to your liking so we can fix it before I do the face mapping and hair pictures," Sandi told her getting a nod from the bride-to-be.  Within minutes, the woman got to work brushing out, curling and pinning the curls onto her head away from her face.  Mila's hair wasn't long, but it was somewhat thick which is what made the process be just a bit longer than she imagined it would.  Once all the curls were pinned into place, Sandi got to work on color matching her face before beginning the work on the makeup.  Unlike the hair, that part didn't take half as long and when she opened her eyes following Sandi placing natural looking fake eyelashes on, she smiled appreciatively.  "I like the smile so far.  Is that what you had in mind?"

"This is far better than what I had in mind," Mila laughed admiring the flawless work that now sat on her face.  Just as she mentioned, the eye lashes were the most dramatic part with some shading on the eyelids to bring everything together.  Her cheeks had a subtle glow to them from the blush and tiny bit of highlight Sandi had put onto the areas of her face.  On her lips was a nude lipstick that worked for her skin tone and when Sandi told her to do the 'kiss test' none of it transferred.  "Wow.  So I won't have to worry about kissing him then cleaning up his lips."
