(A/N- Chapter 30 already!  Wowzers.  Anyone bored with this yet?  Don't worry, drama is coming.)

The first day with Mila being gone, Mike spent some of it getting things in order for when they had to go back into the studio. There was a lot riding on this mash up, more so from him than anybody, to be so great that no one could ever recreate what they did. He also felt nervous over the fact that Jay-Z had requested them to be a part of it. The fear of letting him, one of the best rappers out there, down was real.

He went over the mixes he had done over the course of the past month or so making sure they were as solid as they could be. That all the levels were okay from what he could do in the program from his home so that he could just do some minor tweaks when it was time to go into the studio. When Mike was satisfied with how everything sounded he hit up Chester to see what he was up to. He hadn't seen him in at least a couple of weeks, probably around the same time Chester and Mila went to lunch together and he missed the guy.

"Hey man!" Mike smiled at his best friend seeing a wide smile on the other man's face once Chester opened the door to his home. He couldn't remember a time when his best friend didn't have a smile on his face upon greeting someone at his door. He was always a happy guy even if he had dealt with some serious shit growing up. That's one of the qualities he admired in his friend, his strength.

"What's up, dude? It feels like forever since I've seen your face," Chester chuckled shutting the door giving the visiting friend a hug. "Where's Mila?"

"In Vegas."

"Vegas? Mila never striked me as a Vegas type of person," Chester said leading him through the back door of his house to his patio.

"She's not. It's for her sister's bachelorette party. She was groaning about going all last night and this morning," Mike replied sitting down in a chair. "Mila is more of a less is more type of person. She appreciates the quality of time spent with people rather than quantity of the experience. Cata is the opposite. She's the in your face, notice me type of person. They get along great, but they are polar opposites."

"Are the other women with them like her sister?" Mike nodded. "Poor Mila."

"I was pretty sure when the maid of honor handed her a sash that said 'Bride's Bitch' she was going to toss it and leave," Mike chuckled shaking his head.

"But she stuck it through," Chester commented shaking his head. "I wonder if she's killed any of them yet."

As if on cue, Mike's phone sounded off. Opening his phone he noticed it was her. "Speak of the devil." It was a picture message that showed her with her head in her hand while the others looked like they were cheering with champagne flutes in their hand. The other women looked to be wearing different bikinis with giant sunglasses on their faces.

'Help me.' Was all that was written. Mike showed Chester who laughed shaking his head as another text came in.

'They're discussing getting bridal party tattoos. I swear to god if they even try to come at me with a tattoo gun I am on the first flight home.'

Mike read the text to Chester who chuckled. "She's in Vegas with a bunch of party chicks and Mila's idea of a party is drinking at home with a pizza and video games."

"Truer words have never been spoken," Mike nodded sending his girlfriend back a message. "Maybe I shouldn't have talked her into going."

"You're the reason why she's there?" The other man asked surprised. "Dude, how is she not sending you threatening texts?"

Mike shook his head. "If she didn't want to go she wouldn't have and it wouldn't have mattered what I said. She did want to go and celebrate with her sister, but knows how Cata gets with her friends."
