Reading my eyes will say it in many ways

"Hey Mila?" Lucy called to the woman who walked by her office the following week on Friday. Mila turned towards the direction of the voice that said her name questioningly. "I wanted to see if you would mind mentoring one of our new hires. Only if you have availability of course."

"Uh, I believe I have a couple of mornings and maybe a night free. I'm still seeing my own therapist once a week and that has to remain a priority."

"Absolutely," Lucy agreed looking at a paper in her hand. "They are starting on Monday so if you can potentially find time to be here when they arrive from orientation I would greatly appreciate it."

"I should be able to do that," Mila nodded seeing the head nod from Lucy to come into her office. Taking a couple of steps into the large office, she shut the door.

"I want to check in and see how you're doing with everything. Cade mentioned the band touring..."

Mila nodded. "They left at the end of last week. I'm still trying to get used to going to the house where just the dogs are there. I'll be fine though after these first few weeks." Lucy nodded understanding. "I will be putting in a vacation request for maybe a couple of days off to go see him before it ends."

"Why don't you take a week off? You have more than enough time to do so," Lucy commented knowing that the woman in front of her barely took time away from work. Until recently, she had been accruing many days with only take one here or there for self-care. She noticed the unsure look on the younger woman's face. "Mila, you work your ass off. You even came in with a sprained hand and wrist. Please take a week maybe even two to go and relax. I've said it once and I'll say it again, you deserve to relax."

"I know. Mike mentioned that too. I just find myself worrying about my cases when I'm not here and know I come back to a shit ton of work," Mila sighed earning a chuckle from the woman across from her.

"Mila, Stop worrying about everyone else and worry about yourself. These clients can handle you being gone for more than a couple of days especially with the amazing work you do with them."

Mila nodded softly smiling. "He asked me to visit him. I know he misses me when I'm here and he's gone."

"That's how you know it's love. So figure out what week or weeks you want off and discuss it with Mike. Let me know in an e-mail or put your PTO request in my box. Whatever week it is you'll be off. Okay?" Lucy asked getting a nod from the therapist. "Awesome. Thank you, Mila. You're doing amazing work, but I am sure you know this."

"Maybe just a smidge but it never hurts to hear it," She laughed walking towards the door heading to her own office. A part of Mila was excited to take a week or maybe more off to go and see Mike while another was anxious over what she would come back to when it was over. Regardless, she looked over the schedule of the tour and also her own. After seeing some of the tour dates, she was definitely more sure about wanting to go. One benefit of having a boyfriend who toured meant that you could go to different places you've never been. Even if it's just to where they were playing, it was somewhere new to her.

'Question: If I visit, how long can I visit for?' Mila text Mike interested in seeing how long she could potentially be with him. It wasn't for sure yet if she would take multiple weeks off, but if Mila decided to do so she wanted to make sure it was on the table.

The fact that Mike had actually voiced that he wanted her to visit was enough to make her go and after the slight push from her supervisor, Mila was ready to go for longer than originally planned. Touring with him and the guys the last time gave her a taste of what his job was like, but this one would be different. Mila has only been to one maybe two Summer Festivals in her life, mostly because she was dragged by Jecca, and wanted to see it from the guys point of view. She also couldn't deny the possibility of visiting Mike for longer made it also so that their time apart was shortened quite a bit.
