(A/N- Once the wedding planning begins this story will seem to be moving along quicker. The overall plan is to focus on that and also have moments that isn't all wedding planning. Also, wedding planning is boring as hell and lets be serious, we want these two married. hahaha)
The days following the proposal were both surreal and filled with joy from the couple's family and friends. When Mila woke up the morning after, she immediately believed that she had dreamt everything that had happened. In her mind, the proposal that had taken place was beautiful and perfect, from the lights and flowers to the color of balloons and pictures with loving sayings on cards. It was probably the best dream proposal her mind had ever made up. That was until she saw the light reflection sliding along the walls to the ceiling whenever her left hand moved. And there it was. The ring. That's when reality hit her again, more than it had the night prior during their bath, they were officially engaged. Mila was a bride-to-be.
Turning to her right, she took in the man sleeping beside her. His eyes, as always, were open just a bit which used to honestly freak her the fuck out, but now it's something that was uniquely him. Leaning over, Mila placed a kiss to his cheek before turning back to her side ready to get up for the day knowing they had a lot of people to inform. As she sat on the side of the bed stretching her muscles, fully aware she was completely naked still from last night's activities, a pair of arms wrapped around her waist pulling her backwards. Mila laughed coming to rest against his chest while he lay on his left side. Her left arm rested over his body rubbing his back gently.
"You're not allowed to get out of bed yet," Mike told her sleepily. His eyes were only slightly open taking in what he could of her naked body. His right hand stroked the bare skin on her back and arms softly causing goosebumps to raise up on her skin.
"Oh I'm not, huh?" She asked continuing to rub his back.
"No," He shook his head wrapping both arms around her holding her just a bit tighter than he had previously. "You must stay and snug your fiancée."
"Fiancée'," Mila quoted smiling. "That's a new one to hear. I'm so used to you being my boyfriend or best friend."
"How are you liking it so far? No regrets in saying 'yes'?"
"Absolutely not," She shook her head continuing to smile. "I'm loving it so far. Although, this morning I thought I dreamt everything until it made a light shine on the wall and ceiling. It reminded me of my grandmother when she played and I've missed seeing that."
"It's not too much for you to have such a big part of her in your ring? I wasn't completely sure how you'd feel about it," Mike commented taking the hand from his back that now held the new important piece of jewelry. His eyes analyzed the sight of it on her finger. Between the skin tone of her skin and the champagne color of the main stone, the contrast was beautiful. If anything, the color of her skin made the gorgeous color stand out that much more in the Morganite Stone. That didn't even count the two stones next to it that, when taken in all together, glistened like a star in the sky at night.
"I love my ring. I love it even more so because you put her in it. I was serious when I told you that last night," Mila told him following where his eyes were. Her smile faltering as her mind wondered. "She loved you and I know she'd be thrilled that you put her favorite stone to use. I just wish she could be here to watch us get married."
"I do too, baby. In a way though, you know she'll be there and will see it. We can also make sure to set up a place for her at the ceremony and reception," He said seeing the look on her face brighten.
"Yeah?"
"Absolutely. I loved her like she was my own grandmother. We should honor her at both events."
