September Twenty-Third-

The day was literally less than twenty-four hours away. By this time tomorrow, they would be Husband and Wife. Mila would be a Shinoda and their life as a married couple would begin. Waking up this morning knowing what tomorrow held, the couple was excited and couldn't help but have a permanent smile on their faces. While they began their journey to the Manor for the wedding rehearsal followed by dinner before their night spent apart, Mila thought back on the past couple of weeks they've had, especially their bachelorette and bachelor parties, which brought forth a side of Mike she hadn't seen in a while.

The cool breeze brushed around her bare legs and arms as she sat on the balcony of her bedroom in the resort the girls had picked for this weekend. She was well aware that maybe the others found her idea of a bachelorette weekend a bit boring, but with everything at work and planning the wedding, all she wanted to do was relax. After spending the day at the beach and then the pool before going to dinner where many drinks were ingested, Mila now found herself taking in the air and relaxing sounds of the ocean not far away.

A loud sound broke her out of her thoughts of the wedding, more importantly the wedding night. Mila was quickly realizing that not having intimate moments with her fiancée was causing her to dream about that portion of her wedding day that much more. A part of her regretted the decision to wait eight weeks before they had sex again, but damn would she be ready for that night.

"Hello?" She said answering the call coming through.

"Baby, I miss you already," Mike's voice came from the other line. The slurred speech wasn't lost on Mila causing her to smile as Drunkenoda continued to talk. "Cams, we have almost three weeks until we are married. Can you believe that?"

"I can't. It seems like so long ago when we set our date," Mila replied leaning back onto her lounge chair.

"I should have just married you years ago. Then we would be married now and could be working on having a baby," He slurred causing her eyes to widen slightly. "A part of me is pissed for having this side project because if I didn't, we could try for a baby after the wedding. You're going to be so beautiful carrying our child and such an amazing Mom."

"Thank you, handsome. I happen to think you're going to be an amazing Dad and definitely a DILF," She told him smiling. "Baby, how many drinks have you had?"

"Uh, a lot," Mike said causing her to chuckle. "I'm serious when I tell you Cams, that I should have married you years ago. I may be drunk right now, like fucking hammered, but that's been on my mind even when I'm sober. I was a dick for making you wait this long for me to grow balls and ask you to marry me. Instead of breaking up with you, I should have gotten on my knee and begged you to stay and be my wife. I am sorry for putting you through that. I swear to you that I will never never do that again. You're a once in a lifetime person and you have my entire heart. Without you, I survived but it was more of a shell of a person than how I am when I know you're with me."

Mila felt her eyes tear up at his words. There has been many times, especially when they first got back together, that he's apologized to her. This was a bit different though and it was more than just him being drunk, these were words that had been in his head. Mike had always just let the words that's been passing around in his head go when he drank. Not mean words, sweet words that he just never found the right time to say. These were those words. "I know you won't, Handsome. I love you."
