Bring me home in a blinding dream

Moving day was upon them.  Mila couldn't believe that the day was finally here.  She honestly felt like she had just blinked and the day arrived.  Granted that wasn't at all how it worked and it had really been about a month since everything was confirmed.  Two days after Mila came home from Vegas Linsey text the couple letting them know they were the proud new owners of the beautiful home they both loved.  After signing a lot of paperwork together, bringing the check for the home, and packing up both homes, a month had magically passed.  She wasn't sure where the month of June had gone, but she was pretty sure she didn't have any time to enjoy it between packing and work.

Looking around the home she had lived in for the past three years she felt sad.  This was the first home that was strictly hers and she loved it.  After the break-up, she had moved back in with her Mom before renting this home not long after.  It was the perfect starter home for her even if it wasn't in her name.  It was a small, one level ranch style home that didn't break the bank but also let her have room to be able to socialize or grow into.  She looked at the now bare walls that once held paintings and photos, her couch and office furniture that was no longer set up in their spots, and numerous boxes that held her belongings and memories; this once upon home no longer looked or felt like one to her.  Mila was well aware that this move was a new start for her.  A new start for them.  Another way to start with a clean slate.

The doorbell rang alerting her of the amazing people who had offered to help them move.  Once they had gotten word finalizing the house, magically all the band guys were offering to help.  It didn't take a rocket scientist to realize that Linsey pulled a Delson and blabbed.  Despite this, the couple were happy to have so many people willing to lend a hand.  Opening the door, she was greeted by not only her brother, who was the first person to offer assistance, but also the guys and their significant others minus Mike.  Mila knew that Mike would be late to help since he was with Mark, another friend of theirs, getting a truck for the move.

"Hey guys, welcome to moving day," Mila smiled accepting the hugs from everyone even Karen, Joe's fiancee, who she didn't know very well.  "Did my brother introduce himself?"

"Yes, Mom.  I did," Micah replied rolling his eyes.

"Sigue haciendo ese Micah y tus ojos se mantendrán así," She chuckled winking at him as she recited a line said frequently in their home growing up. She noticed Brad and Micah chuckling while the others just sort of looked confused.  "Podrás ver el espacio donde tu cerebro debería estar."

"I'm still waiting for that to happen," Micah laughed shaking his head.

"If it does let me know," Brad joked tapping his arm.

"So Mike is getting the truck with Mark and Caleb is going to meet us at the new house to help bring stuff in.  I don't know if it'll be easier to just start bringing the big stuff outside to just throw in the truck when they come," Mila mentioned to them trailing off as she began getting nods from the men and Linsey.

"Are you excited to be moving?  Linsey said the house is beautiful," Elisa smiled as the women watched the men begin to move the little big of furniture outside.

Mila nodded.  "I am.  The house is probably one of the most beautiful I've seen.  I'm also thankful Linsey is a master haggler and got it the house well within our price limit."

"You know I got your back.  He may have told me to raise it, but my allegiance lies with you my dear.  I would have never shown you a house I didn't think I could get down into your price range."

"A giant bottle of wine is coming your way," Mila replied smiling hearing the sound of a loud engine pull into her driveway.  "I believe that is the truck.  I'm almost nervous to see which one is driving it."
