(A/N- Thank you to all who have read and voted on my last chapter.  Especially Mikashinoda who was sweet and left me a comment.  All votes and comments are appreciated!  This was a chapter I wrote today because I felt that there should be more interaction between them before the whole rehearsal and leaving for tour begins.  It's a bit of a filler chapter but I think it's cute.)

"Are you going to tell me where we are going?" Mila asked looking towards her left at the man who held her hand in his as he drove heading away from her house. She had no idea what was going on. All he told her was to make sure she had her bathing suit with her and dress comfortable. Of course in Mila's world that means denim shorts, converse sneakers and a v-neck T-shirt. When she got into his car she noticed he had brought his swim shorts and a couple of towels while he wore a T-shirt, shorts and sneakers. Nothing really told her what was going on except that water at some point would be involved.

Mike smiled at her knowing she didn't like surprises but this was one she definitely would like. "Nope. Just sit back and relax."

He chuckled as she groaned placing her sunglasses onto her face. As they got closer to their destination he saw her begin to smile as she recognized where they were going and then look at him. Biting the inside of his lips, he kept a straight face as they pulled into his parents driveway. Mila always loved his family since the moment she met them and the feeling was mutual from his family's side. There would be many times in high school when Mila would go to his house without him there just to talk with his mom or learn to cook Japanese food or hear stories from his Dad. When his parents heard he had broken up with Mila they support him but he could tell they were disappointmented. They loved her and had hoped that they would have stayed together for the long run. Regardless, he knew she still hung out at times with Jason and he wasn't sure the last time she had seen his parents.

Walking up the driveway and through the garage where they entered the house, Mike knew his parents would be surprised to see who his girlfriend was. He wanted this day to be surprises for both his parents and for Mila.

"Hello," He called into the house holding Mila's hand in his right. Jason strolled to where they were first with a drink in his hand.

"Fancy seeing you guys here," Jason smiled hugging his brother first and then Mila. "So you're the girlfriend huh?" The couple nodded. "It's about time he fixed his damn mistake." Mila laughed as Jason winked at her. "Mom and Dad are going to be stoked. They've been wondering about who you were bringing."

"Did you not tell them it was me?" Mila asked turning to the tall man on her left as he shook his head. "You're an odd man, Shinoda."

"Mike, was that your voice I heard or was it Jason joking around again?" The group heard Donna, Mike and Jason's mother, ask as she made her way into the room. They watched as she spotted them taking one look at Mila and their joined hands as she smiled happily. "Camila, oh thank god it's you. I thought I would have to pretend to like a random woman." Mila laughed seeing the wink the woman gave her as she was brought into a tight hug. "Truth be told Mila, you're the only one for Mike. It was even more obvious after the break-up." Pulling away, Donna placed her hands onto her face. "How have you gotten more beautiful?"

"Drinking a lot of water," Mila chuckled saying a line she used to tell her daily when the woman would ask her the same question. Donna laughed pulling her into a hug again before moving to her son.

"Mila, are you hungry?" Donna asked leading the small group into the kitchen as Mila smirked knowing what was coming as the woman began getting bread, peanut butter and jelly together. She never waited for Mila to answer, she would just always make her a sandwich regardless. If she wasn't particularly hungry she knew one of the boys would finish it for her which often times they would end up stealing it anyway.
