(A/N- Here is part 2. Thank you for the birthday wishes!)
Mila sat between her friends watching as the crowd went crazy when all the lights in the place went off. Chanting of 'Linkin Park' was heard loudly echoing off the walls. Screams began as Joe was heard scratching and from where they sat they could make out his outline at his equipment. This continued for a little bit before stage lights began shining on the screen that read 'Meteora' that blocked the crowd from seeing the stage. Mila heard Mike talk into his mic as he and the others got onto the stage. His voice alone caused the crowd to get louder and just when she didn't think they could get any higher, the screen dropped.
With You began as Mike and Chester moved about the stage with a shit ton of energy. Mila knew that if it was her that had been on stage doing what they were, she wouldn't be able to complete the set due to exhaustion. The song ended to a lot of cheering from the crowd and even though she was seated a decent amount away from her boyfriend, she could tell he was smiling.
"Alright, we want to see you move. From the left to the right from the front to the back. On your feet. Are you ready? Jump!" Mike said beginning to jump and just like that the entire crowd began doing the same. "You guys are beautiful! Make some noise!"
The music slowed down a bit to the beginning of Runaway, by the middle of the song she noticed a giant mosh pit in the center of the crowd. Mila found herself happy that she was standing over there because she was sure she would have gotten hurt. Throughout all the songs Mila mouthed the words as Elisa and Linsey sang them loud. She couldn't help but smile as Mike walked about the stage, jumping on risers as he rapped his verses. Mila always told him that he had skills and it was amazing to see him actually doing what she always knew he could do.
As Somewhere I Belong started she found herself brought back to that night at his house where she had discovered those photos. Mila counted it as the start of everything this time around. If it wasn't for that night, she didn't know if they would be together again now. She smiled as he began the first verse pushing his guitar to behind him pointing to where she was sending her a smile before placing his hand over his heart. He remembered that night too.
"Remind me to ask about that," Elisa told her earning a shake of her head from Mila. There were a lot of things that Mila didn't mind sharing but she wanted to keep that piece to her and Mike. Even though it wasn't the most conventional song to express love to someone, the meaning behind it spoke volumes. During the song It's Goin Down, Mike went up on the risers as he rapped greeting the fans that were higher up. Mila smiled seeing how excited the fans were getting and wanting to touch him. You couldn't miss the smile on Mike's face as this happened. He was happy and in his element. She was surprised when he turned to where she was giving her a wink as he mouthed 'I love you' to her. Mila shook her head laughing as he sort of skipped down the walkway back to the stage. She noticed Linsey turn in a sort of blocking manner as she leaned closer to Mila.
"The fans were staring over here. I'm blocking you. They know us but they don't know you," Linsey told her as she nodded patting her friends hand in thanks. Mila at one point started chuckling earning looks from the women next to her.
Mila pointed her finger to where Mike was moving from the stage to the risers. "He kinda looks like a monkey when he does that."
The women laughed nodding their heads. Mila noticed as Chester and Mike were having the crowd battle between what side was louder that a piano was being brought out onto the stage. Elisa felt the woman next to her become rigid. She looked at her seeing where her eyes were and it clicked. Elisa remembered Brad telling her once about how Mila has a difficult time seeing pianos because of her grandmother who passed. She placed her hand onto Mila's getting a small squeeze and an 'I'm okay' mouthed to her.
