"Road trip!" Elisa cheered pulling into Mila's driveway seeing Linsey and Jecca already there. Today was the second to last show of the Projekt Rev tour and darling female Delson, had planned with Ryan to not only attend the show, but have all of the women bring their guys home for the night. Obviously Chester was the only one currently in between relationships with his divorce, so Mila though it was a good idea to bring her cousin who was visiting with her. Nicolasa, Nikki, was Mila's cousin from the East coast. While Mari, Theresa and the kids had moved to California, a lot of their family was still in Massachusetts and would visit from time to time especially in the Summer or holiday's. Nikki had always been Mila's favorite cousin since they were little and loved when she visited California every year.
Nikki was smart, funny and able to interact with whoever was around her. The easy going personality that seemed to be a staple in their family was also embedded in her as well. Nikki, like Mila, had tan skin and dark hair that was a bit longer laying at the middle of her back than her shoulders. However, she was saved by the freaky eye God's and was given blue eyes instead which Mila had always been envious of. Nikki was always laid back in her clothes, but also tried new fashion trends at times. Today however, she wore dark jean shorts, a black flowy top with the front tucked in, all black converse and a couple of black leather bracelets on her wrist. She looked great and Mila knew she would fit in.
"I think you mean convoy," Nikki replied smiling taking the sunglasses from the top of her head and placing them into her face.
"Nikki!" Elisa cheered putting her car into park getting out to hug the woman. Being that Elisa has been around for a while and would hang out with Mila when the guys were on tour, she's met Nikki numerous times. Mila also knew that they kept in contact frequently which made her happy knowing her friends would befriend her cousin easily. "Girl you look good."
"Thanks," Nikki smirked wrapping an arm around Mila. "It's in the genes."
"Obviously. I'm jealous."
"Shut up," Mila chuckled hugging her friend. "You're beautiful. Before you ask, yes, I told Ryan she was coming too."
"You're amazing!"
"I know!"
Once the final girls arrived, Mila introduced them to her cousin and confirmed the plan for travel. The time wasn't all that long to get there. Only about an hour and forty-five minutes, but that's if traffic wasn't horrendous. Thankfully, they were leaving early in the morning on a Saturday so they hoped to not get stuck in a lot of it.
"So does Mike have any single friends left?" Nikki asked changing the song that was playing in the car from a pop hit to an alternative anthem.
"Funny you should ask," Mila smiled. "How do you feel about someone who is a great father and overall person?"
"Describe."
"Dark hair, dark eyes, tattoos, tall, really friendly, funny, great singing voice..."
"Are you describing Chester?" Nikki asked surprised getting a nod from the woman next to her. "He's married."
Mila shook her head. "In the middle of a divorce."
"Wow," Nikki breathed. "I mean, I don't know how he's feeling about the whole divorce thing. He's probably not looking for anyone if it's recent."
"The past couple of months. I think he said it happened during the holidays that the filing happened. Listen, just hang out with him and get to know him. I'm not saying that you have to start dating today or soon, but give him a chance if you both are feeling it," Mila told her knowing that Nikki was a good person and someone Chester would most likely go for in a chick. She had her shit together and was a damn hard worker much like herself. There would be no way Mila would introduce Chester to someone she knew who wasn't in a good place or would be a bad influence. She also knew the struggles that Nikki has been having with finding a decent person as a boyfriend. Unlike Mila, Nikki had been dating some horrible men. She was excited about the potential possibilities of what could happen between them, even if it was just friendship.
