"We are never catching this elevator again" Joel says, looking around.

Chris had his phone out, recording the whole situation, pointing his camera at Erick who seemed to be more scared than any of us.

"Are you scared?" Chris asks Erick while laughing at him.

Erick doesn't say anything except keep his facial expression frozen in fear.

"Chris, do you have to record everything?" I ask, looking up at him beside me.

"Say that again" he points his camera at me now.

I groan and roll my eyes, beginning to tap my foot on the ground, becoming impatient as each minute passes. My dad had just finished getting off the phone and told us that help was on the way. All we had to do now was wait. If I was to rate everyone's fear, I'd say Erick was the most freaked out, then it was Richard who was basically becoming impatient and making a joke out of the whole thing. Chris and Zabdiel had their phones out recording this situation and then there's Joel; who didn't give a single damn about this whole situation and stood there patiently.

"How are you so calm?" I ask Joel.

"Because I have you here with me, what do I have to worry about?" Joel leans down and gives me a kiss.

"Aww so cute, I think I'm going to puke" Chris points his camera at us.

"I will literally break that camera and you in half" I snap at him.

"Well damn girl" Chris replies.

"Sorry, I'm just starting to freak out too now. What if we never get out of here? What if we all just die here? I'm too young to die right now, I haven't even gotten married or had kids or-"

"Excuse me?" my dad turns around.

"Nothing" I shut my mouth, realising I probably shouldn't have brought up the topic about having kids yet. "Ok it's been long enough" I say.

"It's only been seven minutes" Richard replies.

"Seven minutes or seven hours, I don't care I need to get out of here" I push through everyone so I was at the front of the elevator.

"Help us! Somebody help us!" I loudly begin to scream and bang my fists on the elevator doors.

Everyone groans in annoyance except for Joel, he's used to dealing with my dramatic meltdowns.

"Act your age Maya have you lost your mind?" My dad pulls me back.

"I'm sorry I'm just scared and I want to get out"

Joel pulls me lightly by my arm and embraces me while my head rests on his chest. Listening to the beating of his heart sure had calmed me down. He didn't even need to say anything, I was happy just being in his arms.

A few more minutes had passed and the elevator begins to move again while the lights had come back on. Everyone begins to cheer as I pull away from Joel, looking around with a smile plastered on my face. As the doors opened to our floor, we see the maintenance crew with tools that were fixing up the elevator. Everyone happily runs out.

"Yes! Fresh air, I thought I was going to die" I wave my arms up as I left the elevator.

"It wasn't that bad, you drama queen" Chris replies from behind.

"Trust me, anyone stuck in an elevator with you would agree with me" I say, clearly trying to roast him.

He opens his mouth in shock before pulling my hair lightly to annoy me.

"Hey!" I snap at him, fixing my hair while glaring at him.

Grabbing my bags, I head towards Joel and I's room before my dad had stopped me.
