A/N: I feel so guilty for leaving you guys hanging and not updating after so many days but I have my final exams coming up so I've just been caught up in constant studying. Life is hard as a university student sigh.
Precisely, exactly seven months had passed ever since my twins had been born. It's crazy how time flies by when you're spending time with the ones you love and changing diapers every few hours.
"Anything I can help with babe?" Joel asks, approaching me in the kitchen as I was running around trying to get lunch ready.
"You can give Isabelle some company that would be appreciated" I look down to see Isabelle crawling her way towards me on the cold tiled floor.
"Come on you little trouble maker" Joel walks around the counter and picks her up, walking away with her.
I was currently trying out a new recipe that Joel's mother had given me. It had apparently been running in the family and she wanted me to give it a go. The dish was almost done and now all I had to do was place it in the oven and hope it all turns out nice.
Turning around, I see that Isaac had made a mess on the counter where I had been keeping an eye on him
"Isaac you messy boy, look what you did. Let's get you cleaned up" wiping the flour off his clothes, I pick him up and take him into the room where I placed him on the bed and picked out his clothes.
After getting him dressed again, I headed outside and placed him down next to Isabelle on the carpet who was playing with her toys. Walking over to the oven, I slowly open it up as the intense heat had hit my face.
"Mmm, that smells good" I felt two arms wrap around my waist, realising Joel had made his way into the kitchen.
"I just hope it tastes as good as it smells" I closed the oven door.
"Don't worry about it, I'm sure it will be amazing" he kisses my cheek, making me feel better instantly.
About fifteen minutes had passed and lunch was prepared, hot and ready to be eaten.
"Lunch is ready!" I yelled as Joel walks out of the room and takes a seat on the small dining table which we had recently bought.
Joel had straight away dug into his food as his facial expression dropped to a satisfaction expression.
"My mum's going to be so proud. This is heavenly" he continues to eat away.
I just giggled at his response and thanked him before digging into lunch myself. After the two of us were finished, I walked over to the twins who were still playing on the carpet and picked both of them up. You develop this new skill of holding two babies at once, especially if you've had twins.
"Come on you two, we have a big day at the park today" I say, taking them into our room and pulling out mini baby sun hats and other necessities.
Joel was setting up the pram as I was placing Isabelle and Isaac inside carefully. Grabbing a baby bag, I place my phone, wallet and the twin's necessities as we locked our apartment and headed towards the elevator while Joel was pushing the pram forward.
The walk to the local park wasn't long and it was still sunny out, along with many parents taking a walk as their kids played about in the playground with swings and slides. At the site of the kids, Isabelle let out a little excited squirm and pointed to the kids.
"Not yet baby once you get older then you can run around all you want" I lean forward and kiss her head as Joel and I continued to stroll in the park.
We found a nearby bench to sit on under a large tree with a great view of the park. I took Isabelle out of the pram and placed her on my lap, making sure she would have a view of everything that was going on around her. Joel had done the same with Isaac. The two of them seemed to be enjoying the sight of children screaming with joy and laughter and playing around in the park.
"Hey Joel" I suddenly say.
"Yes, my love?"
"This whole thing isn't affecting your career is it? I know how much pressure it must be on you to keep a career and a family going at such a young age" I say.
"Trust me when I say don't even worry about that. This is what I want and I'm happy and thankful I'm able to do both things that I love" he reassured me.
Our time at the park had passed by and the twins seemed to be getting tired. They would usually nap around this time of the day and it was my duty as a mother to make sure they had gotten enough rest.
"Come on you two, let's get you home" putting them back in the pram, Joel and I headed back to our apartment.
As soon as we had reached home, I changed the twins into some comfortable clothes and placed them in bed, covered with a blanket. Isabelle seemed to have fallen asleep in a matter of seconds however, Isaac was a little difficult when it came to daytime naps.
"Oh come on, you were just tired a few minutes ago. Were you just faking that huh?" I say as I carried him around the house in my arms, hoping he would fall asleep sooner or later.
Joel had received a phone call from my dad, regarding CNCO's next show while I on the other hand was now trying to calm down a crying seven-month-old baby. Isaac had now gotten restless and wouldn't stop crying.
"Yes baby what's wrong?" I bounced him up and down in m arms gently as Joel walked away on the phone, away from the noise so he could talk to my dad in a quieter area.
"Wow, look at those cars" I gasp and point as I took him out into the balcony and showed him the countless amount of cars driving by down on the road.
It was useless because the cars were too small for him to see and he continued crying as his screams filled my ears. For a young mother I could be pretty dumb sometimes, he was probably hungry and I'm annoyed at myself for not realising that earlier. Walking over to the cupboard, I pick out a small glass jar of apple flavoured baby food, along with his plastic spoon and sat down on the couch.
"Let's see if my little hero was just hungry" positioning him in my arms, I opened the jar and scooped up a small spoon full, giving some to Isaac as he continued to cry.
However, the more I fed him, the quieter he was getting and happily ate his food.
"There you go, you just wanted food didn't you" I say as I slowly continued to feed him.
After he was done, I pick him up in my arms again and walk around the apartment, hoping he would fall asleep in no time. My theory was correct because ten minutes of quiet walking around, he was snoring away as his head was resting on my shoulder.
"Oh, thank god" I sigh.
I was about to make my way to the bedroom when I was interrupted by someone knocking on the door.
"Coming!" I say loud enough not to wake up the twins.
Opening up, I see Amber standing there with flowers and a gift bag. She looked different since she had dyed her hair and as much as I hate to admit it, she looked better than before. More healthier with a natural new glow on her face.
"Oh it's you. Wait I'll get Joel" I was about to walk away before she had stopped me.
"Wait! I'm not here for him. I'm here for both of you actually. I know you probably hate me more than anything but if you just give me the chance to explain myself I promise I will make it worth your time" she begs.
"You have one minute" I bluntly say.
