Half an hour drug by. I sat on the bed swinging my feet lazily.

"So what's your bet?" I asked sarcastically.

"Bet on what?" Cameron sat back down on the bed after pacing the room a few times.

"How long before the police either find us or leave." I flopped down on my back. I ran the comforter through my fingers.

Cameron flopped down next to me. "Two hours...Maybe?"

I rolled onto my side and looked at him. "I think three." "I think they're going to search the grocery store." I played with a lock of his hair. "That'll take a while."

"Do you think they're going to search here?" He pointed at the bed.

"The bed specifically or just the shed?" I bit my lip. "Because I wouldn't want them to search this bed." I leaned in and kissed Cameron.

"You better be careful, all this flirting might get you into some hot water."

"There aren't any cameras now." "And I think she's going to convince them that this is an empty guest house." I played with the collar of his shirt. I ran my hand along his collar bone. "You know, this is probably the only time we're going to get alone for a while."

"Mmmmm." Cameron ran his fingers through my curls. "You do have a point."

I wrapped my arms around his neck.

He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me into his chest. His smell was intoxicating. I don't even know how to describe it but it never fails to drive me wild. I placed my hands on his chest and he held my face in his hands.

We lay there deep in our minds. Making out for what seemed like an eternity. It was like thick molasses flowing down a mirror, slow and sweet, rich and sensual.

Finally I came up for air. I giggled and ran my thumb over his cheek. "I love you."

"I love you so much more." His hand slipped down towards his waist. He dug around and pulled something out. "Close your eyes."

I closed them and waited.

"Ok now give me your hand."

I held my hand out. He took my hand and slipped something onto my ring finger.

"Now open."

I slowly opened my eyes. I found a small silver ring with a blue stone on my finger. "Cameron." I said breathlessly. I looked at him, wide eyed.

"You would not believe how hard I had to work to keep this one a secret." He kissed my hand. "I didn't know when I'd get to give it to you, but I knew I wanted to let you know how I feel." He held my hand in his, fingers intertwined. "Kate, I want to marry you." "I don't care how long I have to wait, but if you'd like to, I want us to get married."

"Cameron." I looked down at the ring. "I'm at a loss for words." I shook my head. "It's beautiful." "It's...I love you!" I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed his messily.

"So is that a yes?"

"Yes!" "Totally, yes!" "Let's get married."

We lay there in each other's arms just grinning in pure joy.

Then it hit me. "Wait, Cameron, you're legally married to Hannah."

"So...?"

"So, what if she refuses to sign divorce papers?" I pushed back off of Cameron's chest. I sat up in a hurry. "She can stop." I swung my hand back and forth at him and then myself. "She can stop this." I held my head in my hands. "She has you legally." I rocked back and forth on the bed. "I signed the papers."

Cameron sat up and wrapped his arm around my shoulder. "Kate, it's going to be ok." "I'm sure that once we get out and they see the circumstances under which that marriage came to be, they'll have no problem processing a divorce."

I pushed his arm off of me and ran my hand through my hair. "And what if they don't Cam?" "What if they don't?!" "What if you are stuck?!"

"Kate, please calm down." "It will all work out."
