"Kate, wake up!" "Kate, I want to talk to you." Cameron shook my shoulder.

I smacked his arm, still half asleep. "Cameron, it's..." "Cameron, what time is it exactly?"

Cameron sat down on the couch next to me. "About 10." "At night obviously." He motioned towards the window.

I rubbed my eyes and looked out the window. Sure enough it was dark. I yawned. "Did you just get back?"

"Well I went to the bathroom first but, mostly yeah."

"Man, Hannah's got you working the closing shift." I chuckled.

Cameron punched my arm playfully. "Don't remind me." "But that's what I wanted to talk to you about." He took a deep breath. "Believe it or not today was quite possibly even worse than yesterday."

"What'd she do to you now?" I scooted closer to him.

"Well, we ate breakfast again." "Toast and eggs today."

"That doesn't sound so bad..."

"Well, the food was ok." "But she sat there again, across the table from me watching my videos... on full volume."

"Ok, so she has weird meal time rituals, but overall doesn't sound so bad." I said sarcastically, rolling my eyes.

"Well, after that she had me strapped to the couch again." "I thought, oh ok, more rom-coms." "But no." He held his face in his hands. "Three hours of my laugh." "That was the worst compilation video I have ever watched."

My eyes widened and I laughed. "Wow, Cam that is pretty intense." I wiped my eyes. "That is pretty crazy." I paused. "But that only gets you to about lunch time."

He sighed and made a face. "Yes." "Lunch time." "She insisted on feeding me." "And talking to me in a baby voice."

I walked back to the kitchenette to grab my Gatorade. "What'd you eat?" I asked between sips.

He laughed sadly. "Five hotdogs." "And a jar of pickles."

"Awww, she's throwing it back to old Cameron Dallas videos."

"Yeah except it wasn't in a hotel room with Nash."

I shrugged. "True." I smirked at him. I swallowed the last bit of my Gatorade. "Did she wax your legs afterwards?"

Cameron pulled up his right pant leg to reveal a hairless leg. "You bet!"

I bent over laughing. I wiped a tear from my eye. "Oh my god, Cam." "This is...This is sad."

"Kate, its torture in there." "I don't know what you go through in here while I'm gone all day, but it's bad in there."

I shrug. "I stood in the shower and cried for like half an hour after lunch."

Cameron stood up and walked over to me. He went to wrap his arms around me.

I pushed him back, hard. I pointed at him. "Stay away." "I'm not giving up food for a day because you wanted to comfort my sad ass."

Cameron held up his hands. "Ok, but are you ok?"

"Cameron, are either of us ok?" "We are living in a shed in the middle of the Nevada desert and..."

Cameron looked at me confused. "And what?"

"Hannah showed me her phone while I was getting food today and well everybody is looking for you and holding vigils and being sad and no one even realizes I'm gone because I wasn't even supposed to be at that party anyway!" I blurted out. I started crying.

Cameron pulled me into a hug and ran his hand down my hair. "Hey... It's going to be ok." "I know you're here and I'm sure your parents will start trying to find you." He tilted my chin up to look at him. He caressed my cheek. "Hannah's just trying to mess with you."

"I'm... not... supposed... to be... hugging... you." I said between sobs.

"Kate." "Look at me."

I looked up at his brown eyes. "We're going to get through this." "I promise."

I rested my head on his chest and the sobs subsided. I stood there enjoying the warmth of his body. I stood there knowing that even though my fate may be grim, at least she'd never hurt Cam. At least people are looking for him and he'll be rescued. His fans need him, who really needs me? It's not like my novel was even published yet.

That night I laid on the bed curled up under the comforter just looking at him. He was a great person, he didn't deserve to be held here and tortured by a psycho fan. I traced his jaw with my finger. I ran my fingers through his hair. I tried to absorb every moment of that night, I wanted to remember it forever. I fell asleep that night without a worry in the world. He did that for me.
