She turned me around and tied my hands with some rope she pulled from her pocket. She grabbed the money jar off of the dining room table.

We got to the grocery store and Hannah untied my hands. I stood at the table as she poured out the contents of the jar. "$10.38." She pulled a twenty dollar bill out of her pocket. "I'll give you this." She glared at me. "But only because my Dad complained about me taking your food." She put all the money in an envelope. "Now go, leave me alone."

I held the envelope and walked through the aisles. I knew I needed to get drinks again. I had lost a lot of weight, missing all those meals. Drinks had fast calories and carbs to keep me from fainting.

I grabbed a bottle of grape juice off of the shelf. $2.15. I held it in my hand for my moment. "Hannah really needs to get a cart." I walked around the store for a minute looking for the basket I had used the last time I went shopping.

I returned to the juice aisle with the basket and placed the grape juice in it. I kept walking around to the bread and spreads aisle. I grabbed a jar of peanut butter. $3.50. I grabbed a jar of orange marmalade. $2.75. I grabbed a loaf of white bread and set it gently on top of the jars.

"So that's $8.40, plus $1.75 for the bread." "$10.15." I walked towards the pasta aisle. "I'm making Cam dinner once whether she likes it or not." I grabbed a jar of alfredo sauce and a box of bowtie.

$2.25 and $1.15. "Ok so that's." I set the pasta in the corner of the basket. "$13.55." I walked down the aisle to the soup cans. "Mmmm." "Elsa chicken noodle soup." I grabbed the can. "My favorite." I checked the tag. $1.20. "That's $14.75."

I went back to the beverage aisle. My arm struggled under the weight of the basket. Whatever arm muscles I had had had all but wasted away due to a lack of protein.

I sighed as I set the basket on the floor.

"ARE YOU ALMOST DONE?" Hannah yelled from the front of the store.

I huffed in frustration. "I'm almost done Hannah." I said in a sing songy voice under my breath.

I grabbed three Gatorades.

I walked up to the front of the store and set my basket on the table.

"Do you even have enough money for all of this?" Hannah's eyes narrowed.

"I wouldn't have to get so much if somebody hadn't stolen all of my food." I shot back.

"Watch it, Kate." "I still own you."

She tallied up all of the costs. "That's $18.50."

I handed her the twenty dollar bill.

She snatched it from my hand and made change. "$1.04." "After tax." She hissed.

I took the change out of her hand and dropped all of the money I had left back in the jar. I put all of the bags on my arms and turned around so Hannah could tie my hands.

She leaned close to me. "Don't think I don't know you're trying to keep me away from Cam as long as possible." She sneered in my ear.

I laughed. "Wow, Hannah you really are something."

She turned me around and grabbed the jar of money. "Walk." She kicked the back of my calf.

I winced and kept walking.

After getting back to the shed and unloading all of the groceries I walked into the bathroom. I pulled off my yellow tank top. I stood in the mirror looking at all the blue and purple bruises covering my ribs and stomach. There was a really bad black bruise on one of my ribs, just below my bra. I touched it and instantly regretted it.

I bit my lip to try to stifle the scream. "I'm guessing that's the one that's cracked." I shook my head laughing. "Oh, Cameron, I tried to tell you." I pulled my tank top back on and went back to the kitchen for lunch.
