The next morning Hannah stomped into the shed.
"Let me tell you Hannah, I think the jeans and booties works a lot better for you than the dress and stilettos."
"SHUT UP!" She screeched. She stormed up to me.
I grabbed my cheek. "Oww." "What the hell was that for Hannah?"
"Maybe because I know you were in the bathroom with my boyfriend yesterday." She grabbed her hair. "I give you one day with him and you abuse it!"
"Hold on, boyfriend?" Cameron looked at me confused.
Hannah turned around to face him. "Yes sweetie, we're dating." She flipped her hair. "But you should have realized that after last night." She winked playfully at him.
"Hold on." "I don't even like you."
"Of course you do, don't play coy."
"No Hannah." He stood in front of the couch. "I love Kate." "I will never like you, you're just the crazy girl holding us hostage."
"CRAZY??" She screamed. "I'M NOT CRAZY, I'M IN LOVE!" She jumped over the couch and went to embrace Cameron.
He quickly jumped to the side. He ran to the bathroom and shut the door.
"Crap, no locks." He braced himself against the door as Hannah pounded her fists on the door.
I snuck up behind Hannah and grabbed her arms to try to pull her back. She threw me off of her and onto the floor and started kicking me with her bootie. "I never even wanted you!" "You are always getting in the way of me and Cameron!" "Now you have him brainwashed into thinking he's in love with you!" She laughed manically. "Well guess what bitch, you're going to learn."
I scrambled to my feet and held up my fists. "You want to go Hannah?" "I've had enough of the playing good for you."
"Ha!" "You really think you're tough!" "Well guess what, I have no intention of letting you go any time soon." She pushed me out of the way and walked back towards the front door. "Dad, tie her up and take her to the closet."
"I didn't even sleep in the same bed as him!" I yelled.
"I don't care, it doesn't take much brains to realize that you were purposefully hiding together in the bathroom."
"I was cleaning up his wrist."
Cameron approached me from the bathroom.
I grabbed his arm and held up his hand. "See Hannah?" "Open sores!" "From you tying him up during one of your stupid games."
Hannah rolled her eyes. "Don't let him fool you, Kate." She flipped her hair as she turned her back to me. "He enjoyed it."
"I would never." Cameron clenched his jaw.
Hannah's dad grabbed my arms roughly and tied my hands behind my back.
"Oh, and Dad?'" "Give her two water bottles, she'll be staying in there an extra night for being confrontational."
"Hannah!" I lunged.
Hannah's dad grabbed my arms and held me back. "Come on, let's just go." He growled under his breath.
We started walking towards the front door when Cameron grabbed my arm to stop me.
"Before you go." He pulled me into a hug. He glared at Hannah who was watching from the front door.
"I'd be careful what you do Cam." "I may not punish you, but I have no problem punishing her." She threw back her head and laughed.
I spent the next two days pacing around the closet. On the second day Hannah's dad brought me a bucket as a toilet. That second day was by far the most humiliating of my life. I debated eating some plywood. My stomach growled non-stop and the whole closet smelled like my pee. I tried breathing out of my peep hole but it was only the size of a grape so there wasn't much air flow. I got dreadfully hot. Hannah walked by the morning of the second day while she was leading Cam to the house and whispered through the door.
"It's going to be 105 today, hope you're prepared!"
The two water bottles I was given were by far not enough. I finished each of them by noon on the two days. Eventually around mid-day on the second day I passed out from heat exhaustion.
