I laid there in bed for the next few days curled up in a ball. I got up once or twice a day to go to the bathroom and grab a drink but other than that I laid in bed. I couldn't believe it. Hannah had convinced people that Cameron was here willingly. The people had forgotten that I was even here. We weren't leaving. Hannah had won the war.

After a few days I heard a knock at the bedroom door. It opened slowly and Hannah's dad stood on the other side. "Kate, it's time to go get food." He held up three folded pieces of paper. "I have Cameron's letters for you."

I rolled over in bed and pulled the comforter over my head.

"You're going to want food for when you get out of bed." "Even if you want to pretend you're not hungry, which I know you are, I know you want these letters."

I rolled back over and pulled the comforter down to my nose. I glared at Hannah's dad.

"Come on." "I know the news that Hannah managed to convince people that her marriage is perfectly consensual is a hard pill to swallow, but you need to get up." He rubbed his beard. "My son agreed to come pick me up tonight while Hannah's sleeping." "We're going to do all we can to get you and Cameron out."

I pulled the comforter down to my chin. "And what if you can't sneak us out?" "What if Hannah puts up a fight?" I shot across the room.

Hannah's dad rolled his eyes. He rubbed his forehead. "Just get up Kate." "I convinced Hannah to add a tea section to the grocery store."

I perked up. I sat up and swung my legs over the edge of the bed. I pulled my hair up and walked out of the bedroom. "You better not be lying about the tea." "I love tea."

I stopped in front of the door. "The ground looks pretty hot." I chewed on my lip a little.

"Check the bag on the table."

I turned and walked up to the dining room table. I opened the bag and inside I found a pair of sandals. I pulled them out and turned them over in my hands. They had black straps with a flower on the top where you put your foot in. The flower had blue glass beads sewn onto it. I slipped them on my feet and they fit. "They're beautiful." I turned my feet trying to see every angle of the shoes.

"Cameron told me you liked blue." "I ordered them a week ago but they just came in."

"Hannah's still not letting you out?"

"Nope." "Let's go get food."

We got to the grocery store and the first thing I ran for was the drinks aisle. I found a group of boxes of tea on a shelf. I quickly grabbed a box of iced tea bags. I looked over the rest and selected a blueberry green tea blend.

I grabbed the rest of the groceries I wanted. I paid for the groceries and carried the bags back to the shed.

I put all of the food away and walked back to the bedroom to retrieve my letters from Cameron.

I found them on the nightstand and sat down on the bed to read them.
